As the topic suggest, I want to know what program you guys use to play back your audio/video files!

I use Winamp. It's free, its awesome, its skinnable, it uses low memory, and it just plain kicks ass! Like that one file that comes with says

"Winamp winamp...it really whips the Llama's ass!"

Winamp 2.8. I still don't really like or can't get used to the newer versions. I like 2.8 with my Purple Reflection skin =D Oh and for on the go I use my shiny new 20 gig iPod. No more CD's in the car ever again! ^_^

Winamp, it's cool but most of the new upgrades are always fucked up!

Winamp 5, but in retrospect, I should've taken 2.8... Generally faster.

Winamp 5 using a classic skin is no different to 2.8 except it is a lot more up to date, with newer plugins and a lot of bug fixes, why anyone would keep to the outdated 2.8 is beyond me.

I use Windows Media Player 9 Series. I actually like it, so don't bombard me with "GMO US WIMANP" messages. >_>

I'm with Eihwaz. I prefer the way Windows Media Player looks, and it seems to work fine, so I haven't had any reason to switch. *shrug*

Yeah, it looks cool, and I like it when you minimize it, it makes a mini-control panel. Very useful.

It's about the music, people! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Winamp for me, although I'd be happy with anything, really. Hell, all I do with Winamp is find a skin that I like and stay with it for the next three years or so, lol. I don't even know what version of the program I have, although it's fairly recent.

Winamp does like to crash and take up all of my CPU usage when I forget to close it before playing Blue Burst, but that's really my fault. >.>

Winamp 5; lemon colored skin thing. The only reason was because MSN Plus has the ability to make macro's for what you're playing in winamp.

And it doesn't have funny flashy start-up pages like WMP or real.

*sigh* I'm sure there's a more effecient way to do things but...

1) Rio Music Manager for communicationg wih my MP3 Player

2) Dell Digital Jukebox for ripping MP3s off of CDs - it categorizes them into 'My Music' so nicely! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

3) Windows Media Player for playlists, CDs, or just individual songs - it's reaaaaly basic and the trippy visualizations are excellent, especially in 1280x1024 http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Winamp 2.8, because that's what runs best on my old crap box over here (1995 Acer w/ Window's 98)

Regardless of the skin, Winamp 5 doesn't run so smoothly on older systems. Winamp 2.8 was the last version that ran really really well with minimal resources.

Personally, I use Winamp 2.8, though when I get my computer upgraded in the near future, I intend upgrade to the lastest version.

I just reformatted my computer for various reasons and have yet to reinstall winamp 5.

However, I don't exactly have the motivation to reinstall it. I got an XM roady reciever and have it hooked directly to my speakers (as opposed to being played through my computer).

100 channels at my fingertips and not a single system resource used on it.
