View Full Version : All that power, on a small disc and Rubik's Cube

I just got my Rubik's Cu... I mean Gamecube two days ago. Too used to the Dreamcast, I was expecting the Cube to look like it and stand nearly double the height. Instead I find something that fits in my hand.

I knew the cds where smaller, but then I wasn't ready for this.

Everything is so small, it still leaves me shocked. It is definitely a Japanese console, I love it.

What really leaves me shocked is the power of the Dreamcast and PSO is all contained in such a small console and disc, with an extra episode added to the game.

Could life get any better?

^ Only if more people joined the game, corruption was stopped and there were less idiots (i left PSO about a year ago because of FSODX, although i do still play offline although i haven't for a while)online. O and if they updated the game a little bit more and allowed me to find a Hildeblue, goddamn you Blue!!! I want my GOD ARM!!!!!!!!

Redria Vhard Pan Arms = God/Arm every time...almost.

The Dreamcast is smaller than GameCube, tho, in terms of volume.

GC discs = mini DVD. 4GB of data can fit, as far as I remember.

On a full size DVD, that is. The Gamecube DVD can only hold either 1.5 to 2 GB if I'm correct.

Compare that to an Xbox! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
"Do not drop on small children"

Yeah, I wish I still had my Cube.

On a side (irrelevant) note, I confuse the Dreamcast and the PlayStation. At a quick glance they look very similar.

Erm... I can understand that with the smaller Playstation 1, but a normal-sized Playstation? I dunno. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

The older model and the Dreamcast look nothing alike. Now a white Gamecube I would mistake for a smaller looking Dreamcast.

I'm convinced Nintendo borrowed a few design notes from Sega.

The .gcm file (compressed gamecube format) holds 1.35 gb

For the record, these are not only made for gamecube. Newer videocameras also record on dvd-rams
4.7 gb http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif
