I just got back from a near week of camping a little bit ago.

We went into North Dakota to a few camping spots. (I'll get the names later)

But, where do you guys like to go camping, if you do?

Camping is a family tradition for me. At least it was, not anymore as everyone is growing up. Anyways, my favorate spots are up at Mackinaw City's TeePee Campground. I also enjoy going to Ludington State Park. Er, both are in Michigan, since most out of staters probably don't know that. I guess its not really camping but we have a camper at a place called Sandy Pines Resort.

I used to go camping all the time. But ever since my dad died, my mom hasn't got the motivation to do it, and we sold the camper, so http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I was a boyscout when I was younger...I fucking hate camping now. But I still go, usually just with friends to go drink and ride dirtbikes or boats and stuff.

Camping at the beach is pretty fun. Rent a big RV then reserve a parking spot in a parking lot built next to the beach and party with all the other people parked in RV's. That's roughin' it for most California people.

I think this needs to be rationalized. Or at least explained.

Reading festival is a large music/rock festival held in the UK it usualy occurs at the same time as the Leeds festival, and both have the same or almost the same line ups, its also known as the Carling weekender.

As for camping, i was once a Scout and i went on a few camps, however it was not until i was a Venture scoutthat i got to go on propper camps, these usualy consisted of:

Getting to the campsite, having stopped off somewhere to stock up on beer/whiskey/vodka/absinthe anything else alcoholic, and the odd bit of food, setting up the tent, drinking a few bers, then going to a disco in a large tent, going to the campsite bar, buying a few more drinks, back to the marquee, for more ( sometimes the bar was in the same tent)
]
then when everything went quit, wed get a fire going, usualy burning off a few pallets, and we would sit round the fire drinking beer until the sun came up in the morning, by which time it was time to get some sleep, sometimes we would take a spare tent, as there were plenty of opotunities to use it http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

in the morning we would get up and sit around for abit, then go off and do stuff ( visit theme parks/go on hikes, or run activities for younger scouts) until the evening when the beer would start flowing again.

I go to Ennis Lake every summer (GITG knows where I'm talking about, anyways)...

Other then that I usually camp out in my basement for days on end.

I am going this weekend actually, and not at same spot where you pay which isnt real camping. Me and friends just go to a mountain nobody goes on and where you can see pretty far. It is awesome. Plus we take guns, GUNS.

I live near the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and there are some great camping spots. I usually go at least once a year, which is enough, too much just isn't fun.

My brother has a friend with his own property in the mountains too, which is awesome. Right next to a big lake, which means good fishing. Last year we went ice fishing there, that was fun.

I love camping. I could literally spend the whole day sitting in a hammock by a stream up in the mountains, looking at the scenery. So relaxing. I haven't been able to go as much over the past few summers, before our family would go camping a lot.

To answer all those people who were confused about Reading Festival up there.
Reading Festival is a rock festival that takes place on the bank holiday in August every year.

I have been for the past two years running, and I am going this year to.
Reading festival is amazing.
