Voice chat so cool...sigh. The voice chat is what makes it worse than version 2. Voice chat should never be in any way a reason to get a v2 XBox PSO over a much more well rounded GC EP1&2. I tell you this as a friend trying to help.

Oh and about them deleting that thread, I think the ties between Sega and Nintendo are a little stronger than you can plainly see. I know Yugi Naka does not like XBox but loves GCN, so it's no surprise to see that the XBox version is a little covered up....Or it could be one of those strange Japanese customs. Fanboy is thinking of a console or it's games as superior with blind faith. Everything I stated has documented fact in it so let me rephrase this.
#1- Voice chat is cool in it's ease, but it destroys the ease of communication with people who speak another language. Also destroys communication for mute people.
#2- It's long been well known Yugi Naka doesn't like XBox, and he's made a number of comments that have made it clear the XBox version wasn't too special. I can't back these up all too well without proof, but you could find them all on IGN somewhere anyway.
#3- XBox has superiority in many ways, but it has it's crap too. Just like GCN. This game is one in which it's pretty clear with research that the GCN version is the better buy.
#4- I AM saying this as a friend trying to help people make good decisions. I am offering facts so that your choices will be the right ones. How DARE you try and decide what I am. When one offers facts and his comments are disected and studied by one to put that person down, one must question the meaning of fanboy and who the fanboy really is.

I'd like to point you to the way the "menu" for which buttons do what and the players names list, I'd like to point out how they look in this video...they look like the GC version's. My guess is, this will be PSO:Ep.I&II .

Well the video, it's from Xbox Summer Conference, nothing new, just Yuji Naka and some Microsoft Jp guy(if I am not wrong) playing PSO...showing the voice chat function...The Microsoft guy died, and the audience laughed...lol...it's pretty cool to see anyway...Characters seem bigger too...it is working well, the voice chat seems great...like talking on the phone...it's sweet anyway...

something I notice from the video...we all know the Xbox version will have hud like GCN's...the hp,tp menus are the same as GCN's....the buttons are same as DC's but GCN style...
but anyway here is something new I noticed from the video...remember in GCN version, if you die, you won't drop your weapon and meseta...this has been implemented in the XBox version...the MS guy in the video died, he was laughed by the audience, he said that he is a "new" player...and I noticed that while his character, Fonewearl, was using a magical wand, it didn't drop when he died...he might have some meseta too, but nothing dropped when he died...so we know two things similar to GCn...I wish Xbox version is eps 1 & 2...unless eps2 is exclusive to GCN, which might be, we will get eps 2 afterall...but anyway, I won't speculate, but at least we know XBox's ver will have these two new features found in GCN ver...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

yes, at the moment it seems that Sonic Team wants to show off XBox's PSO voice comm more than anything else at the moment..And at the end of the movie, Yuji Naka said they will do their best for the Xbox ver...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

well actually the only reason Xbox won't get eps 2 is if eps 2 content is GCN exclusive...in the video it said that it is exclusive to GCN...but then again it can be considered exclusive since GCN is the only version with eps2 at the moment...But I wouldn't get my hope up...I will be content with just eps 1...But I really want eps2 since I won't get GCN...But if I were a Microsoft guy, I wouldn't want ST just to give us a ver.2...Microsoft needs market in Japan, and they are betting with XBox live AND PSO this year...they are including PSO for free, yes it is free but you need something attractive for them to get that free game...hey in the Xbox live list coming this year, there isn't anything that interest Xbox gamers besides PSO...they do have 48 games coming for Xbox live, but nothing major coming this year, most of them are next year...the only game coming this year that will interest Japanese players is only PSO at the moment...name me one other game??Tekki online, spikeout extreme, that tecmo online title, namco online title, konami online title, all are coming next year...This year it is only PSO, it is included in XBox live starter kit...it is free, but if it is just a ver.2, then no one will be interested enough to get it as well...you need something to get a large user base, and they choose PSO cos they don't care about UC or Ghost recon or those american games...including PSO for free is a good strategy but then again a ver.2 is most likely not enough to make people get XBox live...Is it just me or no one think this way when they said "it's free, so it's ver.2"

Hey Guys I want to make something clear. About pople swearing and all, well I have a VEEEERY easy explanaton on how to stop that.

1. Play with someone and see if he's nice

2. He annoying you with swearing or doing annoying sounds, well guess what, there's the Xbox communicator you've been using and guess what's even better! Since it's a headset, You can take it off O_____o Wow amazing. Also only voice comes through the headset, so you're not going to hear it if you take it off.

3. Either tell the person to stop it if not then use word select after you took it off and see if you can still play normally, if not then just leave.

Anyways my point is that you can only hear voice in the headset O_o What about mute people, they can use the virtual keyboard, how do you think you're going to write your character's name??? Anyway there's the word select O__o That's just my 3 cents about the voice thing, I'm just saying the truth about that aspect in which people here thought is was no solution.

I have to agree, until now I am still amazed how they can just put a booster disc and added some extras to that game...it's a first for a console game, and they did that perfectly...I was amazed till now...ST could do that, and a friend of mine who went to E3 said Sega and Microsoft are planning such kind of download for XBox PSO...and it makes sense if they choose to add this feature to PSO....how about downloading new costumes for your characters??new weapons??new boss, new enemies, anything is possible...and of course new stages...eps2 could be available through download if they didn't have the time to put all those in on time by Xbox live launch in Japan...all is possible but in the end it is ST and Microsoft decision what they want to include in the game, and none of us knows about that...
Yes probably Sonic Team will start on PSO2 once Xbox version is released...but I also heard an interview with Yuji Naka, PSO will definitely be out one day...but not anytime soon...he planned on some downloable quests and stuff for PSO first before a true sequel come out...They also have a new Sonic Adventure on development right now...But PSO2 will definitely be out one day and if PSO Xbox do really well, it will definitely be on XBox as well(I said as well, not exclusive, definitely multiplatform, heck maybe even the PS2)...but I am pretty sure the next sequel will make use of XBox's capabilities...but for the PSO coming this fall, none of us knows what to expect...wait for more news, a few more months guys...a few more months...should have more news coming after GCN version is released...Or at least on fall TGS...But anyway, I am looking forward to Xbox PSO more than PSO sequel, cos I know it is definitely coming...PSO sequel will come one day, I don't know about XBox version...it all depends on how well XBox do at that time...but now it is PSO Xbox that i am looking forward too...actually GCN version too...I love PSO since the day I bought ver.1 2 years ago...still love it now...still playing it on ver.2 almost everyday...love it...I love PSO so much, I just love it...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

3.The game looks horrible, i know its pso but playing ver 2 over again just with voice chat is insane to me

4.ya some of the screens have the same as the gc menu's but iam 99% sure it is not ep 1 and ep 2,its still a working title and like the one guy said before,naka really dosnt care for the xbox version that much

6.Naka put ALOT of work and faught for us alot with the subject of the modem and the bba,he made this game freaking awsome (GAMECUBE VERSION)

I only want to inform you nothing else, well, there are ways to prevent that. First you're going to be on a Broaband connection, so that's an advantage for that option. Other one is that when voice is sent, it is compressed and when it gets to your team mate it'll decompress. Since Xbox Live is on a closed server, which has been prepared thoroughly, plus everyone who plays it will be on broadband, it's not that hard to imagine voice chat in a game see?

Anyways, not referring to you in soecific, I don't think you can just judge a whole game because of something you don't like and most of all, it's not even out, or should I say, not have been officially announced. I really don't see the point of making such topics about assumptions but I think it's inevitable lol.

You have a point Metal, all you're saying is true but that doesn't mean he won't make the Xbox version less good or anything like it. I thank Naka-san for convincing Nintendo about the modem thing because GC owners will be able to play PSO online this year. As for Xbox Yuji Naka said he was going to work well on it and he said the Xbox Live service was a very good one. You can see it on http://www.xbox.com I had a hard time reading the subtitles since I'm on a 56k but go and see it if you don't believe me, just go to the E3 section and click on Xbox Press Release. I really don't think Naka will make a version of PSO bad for the Xbox in any way. Maybe it'll be ver.2 at first, maybe you can download stages, maybe there'll be a booster disc, there are many possibilities that are still unsure. As for the voice thing, it's true what you said, that would be really annoying but people still don't think that IT IS an addition! There will still be word select and the virtual keyboard if you don't want to use the voice chat. But it is NOT the bad error you make it seem, it has it's negatives but are solved just as easy as taking off the headset and just don't use it and leave it there. Who says you have to obligatory put them on to play?! What they going to make a sensor system to see if you have them on or something? See it as an addition and there. I admmit that there seems to be no keyboard but they haven't said THERE WILL BE NO KEYBOARD and correct me if I'm wrong. If there isn't then I don't mind using word select and the virtual keyboard at all. Like I said, how do you think you're going to write your character's name? they will keep it I just know they will, that's why it'll be fair for people who are deaf or can't speak. they are bigger as in camera is closer to the character, from the video I posted in the first page...the GCN version has more detail btw...I think higher poly than the DC ver...But GCN version is definitely looking better than DC's...but just a little improvement...probably you won't really see....download video from Ah King's website...one video was showing the DC version then the GCN version...and the character seems to be a little better...not sure about the XBox version since right at the moment, it is only 40% done and nothing is really known about it...most info on it are taboo...Can't even post a video on Sonic Team's own forum...It got deleted by Sonic Team...And someone told me that news on Xbox's PSO are taboo at the moment...Something must be up...

I agree 100% Bio Fan. Also, about MS not caring for their customers, well, when you think about it since it's a US company, they see PSO more like just another game in their online launch and will treat it as such. Remember that, Gamecube will only have PSO to support their online plans for now as it will be the only game supporting it this year so they'll give it as much hype as possible. It's inevitable for Yuki Naka to like the GC more, it is a japanese system after all but no he won't let that opinion let him make a version that's worst.

heh I don't like the Sony company either, because they have made a lot of errors and still everyone praises them. As fir Xbox I'm still in a wait and see attitude. Right now, I like them I guess, I like the system they've made, I don't like that they didn't make PSO cross-platform but I don't want to judge them because of that only. I currentlly have 6 games for it and I'm waiting for Ninja Gaiden, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Blinx, Kakuto Shojin, Ghost Recon, Unreal Championship and others. So I'm happy with it. In GC I have Rogue Squadron, Pikmin, Resident Evil (awesome >_<) and soon PSO. I like it too a lot. I like GC and Xbox because they will both have and have Sega games http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif As for PSO on Xbox I really hope they do their best. Well anyway, my guess for Xbox PSO, if eps2 is not exclusive to GCN, ST will include eps2...but I doubt they will make any extra level or characters for Xbox...either only eps1 or both eps1 and 2...but not extra level or characters, but probably new features like downloadable options, for future downloads...downloadble quests and stuff...either it is eps 1 or both, I think at least it will have downloadable stuff for XBox PSO...I am not sure about it, I wish I know something, but the truth, I know nothing and I will have to wait for more news...but no matter what, I will definitely get PSO Xbox, even if it is a ver.1 with no extra...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
