PSO and X Box Live

hey, do u need xbox live to play pso offline? i have no interest in online right now, so getting xbox live would be a waste (at the moment). i was told that u need to have xbox live just to play...online or off.

if anyone could clear this up that'd be awesome

As far as i know you need to have live installed on your x box for PSO, ther emay be a workaround, although youd be better of asking X box PSO without XBL on the main forum
