2)whats the difference between them...

3) whats the chances of this working of fecking up?

4) I live in england and have BT dial up if that helps?

5) Need to know ASAP

1) Yes although it would prolly require a little more effort since you have to add the number and prolly the login/pass ect

2) Broadband is atleast 45 times faster than diabl up, although ive heard it doesnt lag very much even on dial up

3) %100 of working fi you do it right

4) I dont think that the individual ISP matters, jsut the medium

6) Its a whole lot funner

ok...Basicly, does it still take the RJ45 cable or is that broadband only?

the RJ45 cable is for broadband only stuff.
the cable you need is suplied with the modem adaptor, in the UK, this is a RJ11 to a BT type socket, male to male.

I use 56k and it's easy to set up.
And the lag isn't to disruptive.

The only problem is it takes a little longer to enter games, and when rares drop, the BroadBand players get to see them first, and steal them first, which gets annoying.

So my pc doesnt have to be on to use online, just has to connect to the phone line?

And when im doing to config....what do i do, cause with broadband it was a matter of plug n' play.

You dont even need to unplug your P.C, all you do is poug the gamecube modem into another phone socket, or a double adaptor.
As for the config, its easy, you need the folowing from your internet account:

Username
password
dial up number

but one lat question...How long is the cable

about twice the length it is from the middle to one end.
if its not long enough you can buy cheap extension cables in most shops.
