GC: Can't get into ruins for some reason. please help

ok, i have beaten all the levels can't ruins because i can't get in there. I talked to the princable (however you spell it) and everyone else. I beat all the quests they gave me. what am i doing wrong for me not to enter the ruins?

You need to activate the three pillars to enter the ruins. (One found in each stage)

They are on the maps here if you are having problems finding them.
