Where is the cheepest place to import it, modem, and get a mod (perfer the switch box).

I'm thinking of importing since I'm bored to death and really looking forward to GC PSO.

Yeah I don't want to wait till october to get the game. I want it as soon as it comes out in japan since it works fine in the US (provided the system it runs on is modded right?).

I'd also like to know the info about importing. Where is the best place to get this stuff. I was gonna go to some website that colors the cases as well as mods them with a switch. That looked interesting. And what about getting the cable modem? Anyone have any info on that?

i also would like to know, if the jp-modem is working with every cube, like controllers do...
especially its important for me to know, if an (soon to be modded) pal-cube works with an jp-modem and game...

(btw: its right i need another mem-card just for jp-games? would not be a problem - i just like to know...)

thanks

it cost me 220 to get it colored at colorconsoles.com and modded...plus the game, modem and the keyboard from ncsx. Although, that does not include the price for shipping my console which was around 15 dollars...alot of money :

ah, ok... going past page 1 sure was interesting - so modem is universal? cool.
mem-cards need region-formating? yeah, i kinda heard that before - no big deal.

now the only two remaining questions are about the how (much) and why of the hunters licence... AND does an jp-ntsc-game work with a modded pal-cube???

well i decided to dust this thread from page 2 so i can ask a question but not make another import thread, SO to my question...

Will i have to go through all that Japanese typing and that Dricas set up, and the CHABSIGN again?? if i really have to i wont mind as long as its got a guide like ver 2 import did. i hope someone knows.

I think they abandoned the whole chabasign thing in exchange for the much easier US version method of getting online.

but for the GC import will they make a guide helping ppl get an account and pay so they can get online. GC PSO is pay to play http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I can just import the game and get a mod right? the domestic modem will work either way, right?

the hardware is universal so any modem would work.

This guy will most probably post a way on how to register once it's released. Also, http://www.mamak-int.com/ Go to PSO section. These people will probably make one too. So no probems here http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Tronixweb is hands down the best place to import games. I got my GC modded at Howies High Tech Games (close to my house) they have a web site (type their name into google).

it sucks that not everyone can read japanese like I can. =( although, I'm sure Mamak and Ah King will have how to get online up soon after the release.
