...Apparently are no longer random. After I made 12 HUmars, 3 of each random mag colour HUmar outfit to test, it was pretty obvious that the mag colours are now set. Wazzy tested a few characters too, and came up with the exact same results. Actually, he's the one who first noticed this. Didn't think about it much at the time, but I noticed recently making a couple of HUmars, one for personal use, one to evolve a mag, that I kept getting the same Mag colour with a 'random' costume. So, as far as I can tell, here are the colour assignments:

Oddly, a formerly random-costume only mag colour is now found on normal costumes as well, as shown by the second row blue FOmarl below:

Sky blue

Certainly makes getting random mag colours easier, since they're apparently all set now...

Yes, mods, I know this goes in Mag, Quest, Item and Section ID. The problem there is that most of the people who play PSOBB don't GO to MQISID. XP

I just noticed..
Are you sure this is a BB "random mag" outfit? It's top purple on GC o.O

More accurately, it's the same design as the top row purple. It's the 8th costume in the second row, hot pink and lighter pink. Lots of costumes do that. It's the 2nd row 8th costume on GC, too. PSOBB costumes are the same as GC costumes. But PSOBB seems to handle mag colours differently.

Yesh, a BB Forum would be a superb addition to this site. n_n

Anyway, eventually, I plan to recreate Ian's experiment again, to see if I get the same results. And this would make a great guide, BTW.

*notes that until he noted the move to people, nobody had responded or for the most part even looked at this thread, and it was already halfway down the page*

I put it in General for those very reasons. >.>; It was a shitload of work doing that, and I wanted people who play to actually be able to see it. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif Looking in MQISID for information is all well and good, but 99% of BB forum activity occurs in General, and is met with people who don't play ignoring the topic tag, coming in, saying 'Well I've never seen that' and then getting yelled at. >_>; Nobody comes here for information because half of it is going to be useless - Post about the government quests? Why bother? Everyone who would answer usefully posts in General and looks for BB-related threads in there, and everyone who hangs out here will come in, ask what the hell you're talking about, and then go. XP Exp values have changed, government quests are sometimes better for enemy counts than normal 'offline' quests, stat growth/max stats on some classes has been changed, making mat usage and stat maxing threads dangerous at best until we know what the changed values are, etc. >_>;

Hence why I put it in General. Blah.

Well, at least three people actually got to see it. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

And wazzy, you probably don't need to test all the classes. Just take a subset of them, like the Forces, or even just a few random classes. It should be right, though, I have yet to NOT get a black Mag with HUmar row one #9 costume, and I've made it several times before last night.

Okay, next time I have some free moments, I'll test it with FOrces. That should be enough data to compare.

ian, i know your reply before this is moved here >.>
you know you belong here, heart, mind & soul, i mean.. mag, quest & id

anyway, until we have a true psobb forum, this is treated as any other mag topics..

since aris said this is to be turned to a guide later, have another sticker up your wall, man

Hi,
I did no experiments, but I use a HUnewearl with the pink outfit and her mag (the first one and only) is of a bright red; same as my RAcast one (white outfit). The only red thing my RAcast has is its ID...but HUne is Skyly. Thus I don't know how mag color was chosen...

i have a question about baby mag drops that my team has been debating for the past week. in my S parts hunt i have found 5 orange baby mags in the mines. my starting costume was :
http://pso-world.com/images/classes/RAcaseal/costume21.jpg
and it got me an orange mag to start out with.
so my question is what determines baby mag drops...is it who picks it up and what color they are?...or the team leader?..or am i just getting really coincidental results?
