It's not true that all of europe is banned, as i am from germany and i am still able to log into bb as i am playing mostly every day! ^_^

Maybe parts of Europe that are closer to Broomop.

He can very well still log into PSO GC or PSOX and continue there.

Possibly, but I think they'd be smart enough to catch him again if he slipped through. It's either do something simmilar to that, or lose a whole bunch of customers. Even now, they can't charge all those banned ip's for HL's, because they can't play. I could see some lawsuits against sega comming up if they still charged.

Actually after reading it more carefully, its players on the same ISP that Broomop is on that are not being allowed back on. So its the whole ISP throughout europe that is banned. Everyone else is ok. The question is... What ISP is it?

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Only Sonic Team will try to unblock the ISP they blocked, and they'll probably unban Broomop in the process.

Well, remember that PSO:BB is currently a Japanese release only and it isn't even officially supported in the US/EU.

So yes, Sega does have the right to block a good portion of the EU because of one player because the game wasn't even supposed to be played there. But on the flipside, there are paying customers.

Then again... if Sega banned a good chunk of GB, or Europe (I'm not sure where the IPs are blocked), they are aware that people are playing it from outside of Asia and might see possible releases then.

When large ISP's find out what IP addy is spamming, they block the WHOLE group.

It does eventually get fixed (when someone complains), so everything will turn out peachy in the end.

Do note people, that like Anwserman said, it's not designed for US/EU players. And if your ISP is banned, well, really, just sucks to be you. You could call up Sega I suppose, but in all reality, you're not a paying customer, or at lesat, you are, but one that got in illegitamately. Have fun calling up ST's JP support line and telling them that you're Machiko Watanabe and live at 1 Fukuoka-ken.

That is where he will do the most damage, so if they ban his IP on PSOGC, they will cause a huge uproar for the many EU users with the same IP (hopefully he's not on Blueyonder...) and as such, which could cause trouble.

ST should have just tracked down Broomop from his first banned IP address and dealt with him legally.

- He made some anticheating tools to PSOPC to make it playable. He was the one before releasing alot of cheats. he also said he wanted PSOBB cheatfree but he withdrew that as the beta was released.

- Yes, he is. He stalked me and wanted me to look at his cheats. And then called me a cheater for testing the exploits before I wrote a report to my freind that would send it to Sega. Thus my friend never sent it because he was to lazy translating. =( It is fixed now anyway.
He don't give a shit about other ppl and calls them dumb. That's similiar to what he said to me anyway. He feels good to have a community that adores him. He can be a nice guy but deep inside he doesn't give a fuck.
