GC: Backing up Data

I was reading through some topics and people were talking about having backed up data on memory cards, How would you back up data on a gamecube memory card. I believe you need a USB memory card so you can plug it into your computer and transfer the data, since I guess PSO data is read-only in the Gamecube OS.

You can use a USB card or you can download a program that allows you to transfer files from your nintendo memory card to pc. Due to forum rules however, members are not allowed to discuss the latter option.
