I just got home from an Early Screening ( I work at the largest movie theatre in Miami. The movie is incredible, I can honestly say i was blown away by the way the movie was written and filmed.

I haven't said anything against the PPGs personally i plan to watch the movie when it is released. I apologize for losing it, i guess I'm just sick of stupid posters posting immature text. Minority Report is anything but boring trust me.

I've only mention it twice. Enjoy Windtalkers, I saw it today (inbetween ushering) and it was a fine piece of cinema.

Also for those keeping track of me mentioning my job. I mentioned my job once and then mentioned i work in the largest theatre in Miami.

I'm not convinced it's a good movie. Saying it's not boring is as much to me as bad T.V. advertising for a movie or a sign on the side of a bus. If you don't want retarded comments, do a better job selling your topic.

...I'd go watch it...but that would take money, money which goes to feed my anime whorish ways.

And besides, I have the Blue Seed boxset to watch, 650 minutes of anime high.

*beats reality with a billy club*
*shakes fist*
Why you gotta make me hit you baby!?

Oh, and on a side note, the next time you reccomend a game/movie/what the hell ever, please give a better description that "dood, this totally roxors yer boxers, you have to go see it!"

..because that is meaningless to me, you have to be alittle descriptive, such as "how was the story?", "Is the action good?". Answer those questions, it will give people a general idea of why they have to go see it :/

Oh, and please leave your ego at the door. It will quickly get crushed here, expecially if you can't handle people being funny 99.9% of the time. Take nothing to heart, this is a forum. You should be able to discern someone just being funny to someone being a smart ass. But ultimately, does it even matter? Go with the flow and have some fun http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

What if i say your only telling us to see sucky movies and not see good movies so that the movie industry makes a slight change in money gain?

I have a site i consult before i go see a movie. It's a professionla review site for movies. Your review sucks, like abdur said, wow it rocks doesnt fit in.

Why i say this? look you say bourne identity was decent.

Look at this: http://www.hollywood.com/movies/reviews/movie/1109866 (out of 4)

Windtalkers was awesome? look at this: http://www.hollywood.com/movies/reviews/movie/1109910 (out of 4)

And minority sweeps away the both?
http://www.hollywood.com/movies/reviews/movie/1110088 (out of 4)

Look i know it's a question of taste in the movies. Some like more serious movies, others fictional movies, some world war movies, and other action movies. Some dont even like the above. But when you say to someone "go see it its nice" and incline them to dish out 5-10 bucks on a movie, i'd rather read a professional site then your blabering.

Anyway maybe some will disagree but once you see the reviews i doubt you'll wanna see windtalkers. Though minority report looks decent http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Don't get smart with me. I saw Bourne Identity it just seemed liek another movie to please the mindless masses.

I saw Windtalkers, and it felt real dramatic and something i could enjoy.

As for Minority Report, I think the movie was simply incredible. The way ti was filmed just left me in awe ( i study film so i appreciate certain things that maybe most people don't).

Don't bring up links to Movie reviewing sites because, i don't know about you, but I never let other people decide what movies I'm going to watch. Don't get me wrong with this topic, I'm not pushing Minority Report on you I'm just saying you "should" go see it since it was a real "Experience" watching it.

Oh and jav, you DID tell us to see it, dont try to diss me by slightly modifying some sentence and walk away without a word out of my mouth. You never said i should go see it, you ordered me to go see it, as if it was some classical movie.

Rest ditto to abdur...

Javier isnt making any friends in this topic. There are alot of cool movies coming out now, I wanna se Windtalkers, but I also wanna see them all. There is no way Windtalkers will be another Private Ryan or Band of Brothers, but I think I'll like it, and if I like it, thats all that matters.

I won't get in on the flaming of Javier, but I do want to know what was so good about the movie? I am poor, I whored myself just to get enough money for a gamecube. I'm not going to see a movie unless:
A. Someone else pays for it.
B. It looks helluva good.
C. It has pr0n in it.

So yes, I am a cheap bastard. Give me money.

Ok, you know what? I tried to make a post telling people how good Minority Report is, and it turned into a flame on me.

Next time I wont bother posting about a movie, since the people on this board don't know how to react to a simple suggest. Yes i may ahve you used words like "you must" and whatnot but i meant it as in "this movie is so good you must see it" it wasn't meant to be taken word for word.

Ok lemme say that...I didn't like Minority Report. And YEAH I DID see it. I saw it yesterday infact. Too me, it was too predictable. Sure, there were a couple times where I had to think for a little bit, but nothing too shocking. Infact, I thought bad company was a MUCH better movie in all aspects...so there in MY opinion DON'T see Minority Report...it's really not that great. Now will you stop whining?

espically the gud old act like a clown as shown at the start of this thread.

look in off topic we all ass around and dont take much seriously probably the ppl who read what u said may go have a look at the film or read some reviews on it, but while there at it they might as well have some funny as shown at the start of this thread.

and ps abdur i havent bin around much lately ( due to work and stuff) but i really do miss out thread wars, cuz they were some of the funniest times ive ever had on a board.

Damn straight. Even I had to learn that lesson(Mucho gracious to those who reamed my ass and handed it back to me, it was a well needed lesson). You learn eventually not to take things serious here, it's a message board, if you're getting mad at things as little as what happened in this thread, then you had better lock yourself in doors and pray no one comes knocking. It's called wit and humor, and if you lack the ability to take it, ouch.

Every thread has some funny in it. We can't post in it without atleast doing that. Too much seriousness here makes everything feel stagnant. Besides, 99.9% of us come here to laugh and have fun with each other, not get pissy over movie reviews and major world happenings.

While I am not a power puff girls fan I can easily say that pretty much any movie would be better then the minority report. It seems like a movie for people who like to pretend that they are smart. They idea behind the story was A+ but massive inconsistancies as well as shoddy acting and a the fact that it ends 20-30 min after the climax (causing the movie to drag) make this one collosal train wreak of a film.

This pretty much affirms my pervious comments about the type of people that enjouy the minority report. It you are looking for a 'think' piece then look elsewhere because the minority report spells it all out for you. Visually, the movie leaves much to be desired as well. My friends and I got a huge kick out of the fact that we could see a modern day SUV in the background of one of the scenes.

Drool... That was the best thing ever to come out of HBO. Personally I think I liked blackhawk down more then Private Ryan, Ryan at times seemed a little 'drama-esque' for that type of a movie. Where as blackhawk down kept really to the main story. The thin red line was a disaster. Sorry, but I doubt that front line soldiers are going to be having PHD level inner monologues while they are taking heavy fire.

Agreed, Thin Red Line was ok, mainly because the guy who played Casey in the Ninja Turtel movies came back as the not-right-for-war CO. I like Private Ryan more, but its not really a true story, if you get what I am going at, it was a fake story in a true movie(although there were similiar instances were families were wiped out...Sullivans...no rescue squad was sent). Black Hawk Down was all true, maybe little details were missed but thats forgivable.

Oh yea, the one guy in Band of Brothers was in Minority Report.

I saw Minority Report last night. I read the Philip K. Dick short story this morning. About the only similarity is that there's 3 precogs, and the protagonist's name comes up as a murderer. Otherwise they're as different as night and day. The story has a hard edge, fast paced, with a much more intricate and believable plot behind it. The movie is touchy-feely, plodding, and quite frankly bored me. While I'm not wishing for 2 hours of my life back, I find myself glad I only paid student price for it.

Long story short: Like said earlier in the thread, great concept, poor execution. If you're thinking of watching it, go read the story it's "based" on instead. Or wait until it hits discount theaters/rental.

Ah, before Jazzy Foxs post i was going to say, 'ill probably go see it seeing that its based on something written by Phillip k. Dick' (big Blade Runner fan at the mo).

I dont know about the film now, i thought it looked quite good, but theres alot of differing opinions.

I might just wait untill my friend gets one of his *cough* copies *cough* of it and watch it round his place.

*cheesy side note* did anyone know that Total Recall was based on a piece written by Phillip k. Dick?
