Melee FOnewm Tips?

My FOnewm on BB is melee, so I was wondering if anyone else uses FOnewms for melee, yeah right. >_> Anyway, here's my plans:

Weapons:
Double Saber, Varista, and Soul Eater for now. As soon as I can, replace Varista with Red Handgun (and Holy Ray, eventually), and Soul Eater for Rainbow Baton with Hit. Eventually, Twin Chakram, then when my ATP is enough, S-Rank Twin will replace Double Saber.

Armor: For right now, whatever. When I get higher, Guard Wave, then of course Smoking Plate at some point.

Units: I was thinking a combination of some */Arm units (probably about two until his ATA gets high enough, then switch to one), */HP / Cure/* units, and a God/Battle. Right now, I'm using 3 God/Arms, and a Dragon/HP. I plan to give one of the God/Arms to Ian, and then have two God/Arms, Dragon/HP, and Angel/Mind.

Sheild: Secret Gear and/or Attribute Wall at level 41, Tripolic Shield as soon as I find one and can use it.

Mag: I already have a Rati, final stats are aimed at 5/135/60/0.

Any tips? Ideas? Pointers? Horror stories? x_x I've meleed with a FOmar on offline GC up to level 85, so I'm just slightly modifying what I used there to accomodate a FOnewm.

Also, what would be a good material diet? I was thinking something with lots and lots of Power and Luck, so I can use S-Rank Twin ASAP.

pow-dex mag plus JZ & SD give newm a good edge on power & better chance to hit

unless you are talking about mechs being non-melee?

I'm gonna go with that, and agree with him. If you're a mechgun FOmar/FOnewm/FOmarl/FOnewearl/any other class in the game, you are not meleeing. Period. You're ranging. XP

ive been lookin for god/arm and nothing has popped up

Grass Assasin sabers aren't too bad, and the FOnm enjoys access to alot of S-rank weapons.

Anyone know if FOs can use flight cutters or not?
