I know that lot's of you don't like the old music so me and Deissa come up with a edited Ep3 lobby ogg that loops beautiful in PSOBB.

Have fun. =D Instructions are in the file.

I helped make this after Stan64 mentioned the idea to me. I prefer it to Ep1_2's lobby music :E

Sorry to be pedantic, but isn't this technically against the Terms of Service by editing the game files? So anyone who uses this is unlegit. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

This has always been considered an exception to the rules. Otherwise Sega would have put the music internal to the game through proprietary compression.

Jack. The ony advantage you get is to get that awful lobby music away from the game...

And that is a big advantage. XD And yes. If Sega was against it they would have compressiond and hash-checking of the files.

EDIT: I expected some thank you posts. ;_; *hurt*

Thanks for the change. Personally, I'm more fond of the original lobby music, but the Ep 3 will be nice to have for a change every now and then. Something about the Ep3 lobby music just got on my nerves after a while.

Something about the Ep3 lobby music got on my nerves after about three seconds the very first time I got on. So did the look of the lobbies, for that matter. Ep3 is the most godforsakenly washed-out looking game I've ever played, and that INCLUDES Asteroids. XP But enough about how much I hate Ep3. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Now, I did like the Tower of Caelum music. XP

Nifty idea, though.

That is explained. I can add the line "You must own a legal copy of the game or the game soundtrack to use this file." If it makes you feel better. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

It is explained in the txt where the source is from. And I don't know any episode 3 ogg files. o.oThis is the only one I have seen. =) And I got help cutting and looping it. If you would add your own from scratch it would sound wierd.

You play .ogg files (this Ep3 song, as well as all the other BB music files) with WinAmp, correct?

Arislan
Aug 18, 2004, 02:49 PM
Eihwaz- That would be correct.

And yes, a copy of the soundtrack would work fine, you do own the song in that case. Although, technically, since *you* didn't make the copy of this song, it's not 100% legal, but it *is* legal on par with making a tape of your CD, or borrowing a book from the library.

On the day Sega cares about one game enhancing song that is cut from a soundtrack. That day I will apologize. =)
