You do not need to talk to Bernie in Retired Hunter to get the Soul Eater. Why are you looking for him? Just don't tell sue your name.

no there may be an altenate ending when u speak to him in there and i know how to get souleater. also what is with that moon atomizer that the baby hildebear drops in the FOS quest can u use it on donoph to bring him back to life for Alicia his daughter?

You cannot revive NPC's with moon atomizers or any item for that matter. Did you tell Sue your name in Doc's Research? I believe that's how you get Bernie to appear everywhere.

Depending on what you tell alicia at the end of FoS, the baby Hildebear may leave an uncommon stackable item (like moon atomizer).

Instead of getting soul eater, you can get ragol ring. Isn't that nice? Read the damned guide. If you tell sue your name, you can get Ragol Ring, if you kept your anonimity, you get soul eater. How lovely. READ.

I'm not sure either. Tell Sue your name then look for her and for Bernie in every other quest. Be sure to talk to both of them, and maybe, after Donoph has died, Bernie will appear next to the Principal's teleporter (or is he up there?)

Yes, but his question is a moot point when his aims are taken into consideration.

He wants to know if there is another subplot in the bernie/sue plots. There isn't.

Bernie should show up if you get the mag cell to grow three times in Soul of Steel IIRC. It shouldn't have anything to do with the sub-quests ensuing from Dr. Osto's Research.

I did that quest a lot the last few days. I remember that I saw Bernie once, when I had answered Donoph's question at the beginning with !! instead of just clicking away on the textboxes (and therefore answering ??). So when I finished the quest I went to the shops and there was Bernie standing close to where Alicia was running around, I talked to Bernie but I dont remember what he said then I talked to Alicia and she said something and I get the 'Get your reward' jingle and when I went to collect my money it was 35000 instead of 25000. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
