I personally love these books, I haven't read all out of the whole saga, though from the ones I have read, I prefer the Shannara Heritige series. I find them to be well written and entertaining.

Anyway, just thought I'd create this thread, for any of you that have read/reading/or think about reading these books. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

i've thought about it. Alot of my friends read either those books or Steven King books. The only real reason I dont read Shannara books is that im too lazy to try and read a 1000+ page book.

It's very worth it, an awesome well told tale, really entertaining books, with undead dudes, some hot girls and war. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif just a few of the many great things in it.

I command you in the name of SPOON to read them. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

You're in luck then, because the longest Shannara book, unless you go pick up the combined novel/tomb, is the first book, The Sword of Shannara, at 726 pages in length.

The Heritage of Shannara series was wonderfully written, with very human characters that I was easily able to relate to. The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara series really blew chunks, and killed my interest in reading the newest book. The second in the newest Shannara series should be out in hardback in just a matter of days.
