first day online....bad experience....

ok, here is the scenario: an excited guy gets his BBA, prepared to widen his view online, thru PSO. plugs in the cable, does the registration. and BAMP, "your memroy card is corrupt and needs to be formatted", i mean he din't even go online yet!!
what did he do to deserve this.....

is there ablsolutely no way to save it....?????
please help!!!!!!!!!!

Note: If your system file or character file is corrupted, you're screwed.


i'd consider myself as "screwed".....
i went to the memory card screen, and the cube asked me to formatt my memory card.....i really did nothing to it
if i knew it would be so risky, i wouldn't have used my main memory card to connect the first time.....

i guess theres no way i could restore my charactors right?

i thought they have pretty good hardware products...

the officail ones are less likely to corrupt, although there not imune from coruption.
you should be able to get an official one for 12 quid or so.

yeah i just got a new official one....right before i tried going online....luckily i thought about all the "safety" issues beforehand....

Yeh, I'm pretty sure NGC said not to even try using an unofficial card with PSO online as it just corrupts on you!

Yeah, third party mem cards suck. I had a 16x and one day it just said "The memory card needs to be formatted." Luckily PSO didn't come out yet and I didn't have any good characters to corrupt.
