Well, I got my new computer today and I have a question about the processor. I don't know too much but here goes...

It is a AMD 3200 I know, and when I go to Properties under My Computer it says AMD 3200. But under that it says 2.2 GHZ......is that normal?

I am on my old computer now and it says:

AMD 2000+
1.66 GHZ

Why is the GHZ under?

The AMD 3200 and 2000 don't refer to the ghz, but the processor model.

So...that is normal then?

2.2ghz is the normal xp3200 speed.

believe they thought that the model names (xp 1600-3200) are equivilent to intel's actual clock speed..

so Xp3200 is equivilent to pentium 3.2ghz or some BS.

but.. benchmarks generally show they are equal.
