Hey all.

I figured this'd be the best place to go for help. I just lost a few items to Xbox FSOD that were important to me, and I'd rather not sit in the lobby and beg. I wouldn't ask here, except that I fear that if I don't get these back, I may just give up on PSO :<. I lost a Twin Psychoguns (my prize posession), Yamato +53 (the weapon that let me actually play in Ult), Chain Sawd +15 (my newest rare), and an Angel Luck. Only the Yamato had any %, and they were small. I don't expect that anyone can replace the grinders, but if someone could replace these for me, I'd owe them my PSO life http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I really don't have much to offer in return, seeing as I've never accepted gifts before, but I'll do my best http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Thanks for reading my whines, and I really appreciate any and all help. Please PM me, thanks again.

This is one of the last places your message should have ever gone.

Seeing as how you are asking for items, the Trade forum (http://www.pso-world.com/viewforum.php?forum=2&46032) would have been a much more reasonable location to post this in. If this get's moved anywhere, it will most likely be there.

Seeing as how you're also a wee bit on the ranting side, you might might have also opted for posting this in the Rants - Dead Horse Society forum (http://www.pso-world.com/viewforum.php?forum=11&34389). Once in that forum, if you would be so kind as to direct your attention towards the top, you will find a thread titled BSOD FSOD Char Corruptions go here (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=42567&forum=11&139). Hmmm, I wonder what that could be for </sarcasm>.

Another logical place (if only because you are talking about items) to post this in would have been the Mag, Quest, Item and Section ID Discussion forum (http://www.pso-world.com/viewforum.php?forum=7&114682). That, while still being the wrong forum to post this in, would have still yielded you a much more useful reply than what you're likely to get here. As such, I will now respond to your thread as if it had been posted in the Item forum. The items you lost are all average to slightly rare. None of the items you listed are really THAT difficult to recover on your own. Still, they are rare enough for most people to not want to just hand them over in exchange for nothing (which is what you're asking for). I suppose you could easily get some duped versions from someone in the trade forum... but again, you'd probably have to TRADE (hence the title of the forum) for those items (legit or not, a trade is a trade).

Anywho, seeing as how you seem to be fairly new, I welcome you to PSOW. Enjoy your stay. MAKE SURE TO READ THE FORUM RULES (http://www.pso-world.com/faq.php?myfaq=yes&id_cat=9&categories=Forum) (if you haven't already done so). Next time you feel the urge to post, try to put a little more thought into where exactly you are going to be posting. An example of what you keep in mind (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=89224&forum=10&7).

Right, so since it only partially belongs in each of those, it cancels out and goes in general, maybe...

I might be able to supply you with a Yamato (another one...) that I just got tonight. It's ungrinded, untekked and has no percents on it, perfectly fresh...

Except for chainsawd, those items aren't that hard to recover. Twin Psychoguns, yellowboze very hard delbiters (west tower runs, i thought 4 on average). Angel luck, I believe there was one ID that could pipe a love rappy with a 87.5% rate for it. Yamato isn't even good, but I think you could get it from the dragon in hard or very hard. Meaning 1/4 ttf runs.

I'm too lazy to do so myself atm, but just use the guides and heyfools charts.

That's the second report I see this week of someone thinking of giving up on PSO after losing something to FSOD. Although I hate how FSOD ruins a bit of gameplay I fail to see why FSOD would make anyone stop. There is a very simple way to keep yourself from losing anything of value to it.

The standard thing to do is to only carry your valuables equiped. This means, 1 weapon, 1 shield, 1 armor, 1 MAG and up to 4 units on your armor. All equiped ofcourse. All other stuff stays safely in the store. (Don't forget to save after switching equipement. It's what was equiped at the last save that counts!)
I know this goes against gameplay. I too would like to have my RAmar run around with Snow Queen, GUP RIFLE (has Zalure on it...) and Yasminkov 9000M. But it is a small price to pay for keeping the danger of loss at bay. Also, it brings it's own challenge. I've been playing like that for over a year now, and haven't lost anything since I started it.
Alternative is to backup your stuff. But the people that have been around here a little longer know I am no fan of that.
So, don't quit over losing to FSOD. Protect yourself, that is very well possible.....

Just make the items you loose. That way, you can play the game how it was meant to be played. You can run around with all the weapons you like to use and switch between them without worrying about loosing them. This make the game more fun, and makes you a better player.

Obviously its tempting to make other items you aint found, but dont as you will spoil the game for yourself in the long run.

Its just normal i think... everyone who has his first week online takes 2 or 3 weapons for changing in battle. i myself lost my asuka+30, rappys fan and 5 mags i were raising (kama with 187 pow) just 2 hours after i went online the first time. i hated the game the stuff and just everyone. but there are a few tips for ya:
-equip ur main weapon when leaving the game or going back to the lobby ( u wont loose equiped stuff)
-if u need a second weapon just take stuff u dont really care about or which u have twice.
-another good idea would be to deposit ur second weapon just before leaving a game, cause in most cases u FSOD on ur way from a game back to lobby or from one lobby to another.
-take only one mag with u and dont raise any. if u want to raise mags deposit them before leaving or raise tham offline.

i wonder why the stuff cant just try to fix fsod or did they? fsods make players quit and players are money... lol
