Lavis Cannon tips...

OK I've been lookin for about 3 hours striaght with no luck. I'm a Redria, have found 18 earlier slimes with no luck. Somebody give me some help!

i dont see how we can help. your using hte best drop available. all we can say is keep piping slimes and hope you get lucky.

Okay, know this and read carefully: If you tried splitting and a blue slime killed another blue slime or you accidentally killed it and if it dropped something, then your piping for a red slime to drop is ruined in this run for the next pipe for one of the 2 original slimes or both or if the splitted slimes of both original slimes dropped something. If a red one did appear on the next pipe or so with this already ruined, it will not drop something in this situlation.

A fact: Every rare enemy will always drop something. So if your next red slime will drop nothing, it means you got it ruined.

Like others said, good luck! It only took me 3 red slimes to get myself one so don't feel discouraged! It eventually will drop for you as long as you keep trying and never give up! Like Antimony did, it took him 50 to get himself one.

To others: Please correct me if I made some mistakes in the first paragraph.

I know people who have piped for months without getting a Lavis Cannon in Ep.1&2.

Keep trying, you'll eventually get what you seek. Persistance is key.

Heh, this is funny. I was just cruising through Caves and suddently a red slime appeared. Killed it, got Lavis Cannon. I cant recall any rare monster NOT dropping a red box. (except for a gay pal rappy who dropped meseta) I think the best way is to find a room with two slimes and try to split them (tip: use a hp halving spec attack, I use Demolition Comet)when you have split them, pipe up and try again.

If this is wrong, please tell me.

I always tend to find thing when I'm not looking for them. I spent along time hunting pals for a sacred cloth. I finally gave up. The next night, low and behold, Pal Rappy! Drops me my sacred cloth. Same with my lavis. I looked at the drop charts. 1/28,800 something drop off purplenum tallow. I say to myself, "Oh yeah, like that's ever gonna happen." So I wasn't gonna get my hopes up. Around my 20th tallow, a red box drops. it twas a lavis. Moral of the story: Don't hunt for something. That's a stupid moral...

Obviously all drops are based on chance.
So, if you fight more of the enemies that drop the certain item, you increase the chance of the item being dropped.

If you want something badly enough, it will most likely come to you quicker if you hunt it.

Same with me Eanae. I find the best stuff when im not looking for it. Its all in the mind really. It feels like longer when all you are thinking about is finding an item. I started doing Lost Heat Sword quest to level up, but it also has about 50 tollaw in it. I just had my mind on levelling up and feeding mag, and then got a surprise when the red box dropped off the tollaw after about 4 days. For me on Skyly they drop Sacred Guard. Im sure I read somewhere that Sacred Guard is supposed to protect you from being frozen but it doesnt work for me. I think I had it on for the Sil Dragon but still got frozen.

Oh well its better than trying to get a Heaven's Punisher from a Hildetorr <_< But yes keep piping and you will probly get one sooner or later...
