umm, Ive got my hands on Mahu... And I for one fell in love with it. Now I can make a billion v-hard runs without using a damn trifluid. there great! Despite the fact that there useless in Ult. mode... (shakes fist at ATA) oh yes... on to my question, The Section ID cards... The Site doesnt say they have any powers... Yet the text that comes along with them say

"A mysterious weapon. It's abilities are unknown."

so do they have powers or not? a friend told me that each one has its own power, may it be TP leach, or EXP steal....

Anyway, Im quite fond of the card weapons and personaly wont give my mahu up... unless maybe get a c-sorc's arm... lol.

No special.

The ID cards are only for looks and collectability, and not for real battle use.

If you want to upgrade the Mahu, try looking for a Hitogata (evolving it is kind of iffy, since the way it works is changed then).

I will keep that in mind, but due to my level... I wont be able to get my hands on one for quite some time now... Well, This brings up another question... Isint the Mahu's Leach better then the hitogata? ( I know I just killed that word) I mean Tp leach is tp leach... but i dont use the mahu as a weapon more then i do as a tool... Last time i checked Mahu has the best level Leach... but i could have read that chart wrong, or it might have been wrong... Will someone bring insight to my new question?

Well, according to PSOW's rare item data, Hitogata has Soul special, and Mahu has Geist, which would mean that Mahu drains more TP, I believe. But Hitogata looks awesomely cool, and has 10 more ATA...so it's your choice, really.

I remember using a Mahu on my GC FOnewm a lot in Vhard. Saved me millions on Trifluids. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

i'm not a fan of card weapons.
but gal wind has a nice suicidal special. does neat damage as well. maybe you look into that too, its a bit better of a find than hitogata.

But dancing hitogata looks too cool. ;-; Too bad the drop rates for the book are quite bad.

But how about just fluids or maybe hit geist vulcs (multi hit) for tp, and.. whatever other good weapon for damage. :/

Maybe I'll go for a dancing Hitogata sometime for the sheer coolness value of it. Annoying though, how I think a Hitogata without hit isn't worth it...
I couldn't even succeed in helping Rico Royal get a FATSIA with hit. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif
Hitogata has 10 times as bad drops, plus the longs take longer, and are way harder (ult west tower runs). ;-;

Cards are awful imo since almost all of them are ugly weapons http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif. The ID cards suck (especially since they don't even have a special) and are rediculously rare, making them only useful for bragging rights (aside from the fact that they look extremely plain and boring for something that takes 10 years to find).

Sorry to break this to you, but the Mahu is the ugliest card of the bunch http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif.

HAHA! i was thinking it was the other way around! I find all the cards to be very stupid looking... Besides the Talis, Those look cool... But IMO i think Mahu looks great.

Dancing Hitogata is easily the most unique and best looking card type weapon, eventhough it doesnt function like an ordinary one.
I wish you good luck if you decide to hunt for Book of Hitogata, Tycho, Endless Nighmare 4 on Bluefull is your best bet, and just do ruins 1, Belras dont appear in ruins 2. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Yeah, too bad Gal Wind does not have the chance of ever getting hit%, it could have been a nice melee weapon.

To clear some things up:
Talis: Mind
Mahu: Soul
Hitogata: Soul
Dancing Hitogata: Geist (but forget about actually using Dancing Hitogata)

Everyone seems adverse to the Dancing Higota. I've never seen one, so maybe I'm missing something... what is the downside to it? How is the way it works "different"?

it just takes some practice to use. Instead of throwing it like a regular card type weapon, you wait until little hitogatas start spinning around you (up to 5) and when you fire, they fly off in the direction they are facing when you press the button. So to use the weapon effectively (if you can call it that lol) you need to time your shot so that a projectile is in the line of fire of an enemy before you shoot. Hope that made sense http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

You can see the little hitogatas in the pic below (they swirl around you in a circle.) Those are the projectiles.

Awesome. Go with Hitogata then for the higher ATA and ATP, and better looks. :3

Yeah, but Mahus are much easier to get, so you might eventually find one with nice hit %.
Hitogata is reallyreally nice looking though, so no competition. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

As for Dancing Hitogata, this is my information i have:
From the moment you equip the weapon, it takes either five seconds, or an attack (that will automatically miss) to make a card appear. From that moment on, more cards will appear behind the character each five seconds, to the maximum of five cards that all encircle the character. When an attack is performed, all cards that surround the character will be shot away from the character in the direction they are showing, forcing the character to restart the process of collecting cards. Note that the cards encircle the character while the attack is casted and will be released after the animation.

I had quite some problems describing that weapon... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Hmm, the danceing Hitogata seems like something I would use... In Ult. mode I dont even equip a weapon... I think the slight faster cast rate is better. but some times I will tote the Elysion with me because I love the way it looks on my character. But yeah! I should get my hands on a Hitogata! thanks for the help.
