yep, I took the wrong bus today after Kendo practise, and ended up in the middle of Sapporo, when I was supposed to be going to the north easter part Ishikari.
so yeah, I was on the wrong bus, in a foreign country, and I can hardly speak/understand Japanese at a mediocrely fluent level.
When I asked the bus driver at what appeared to be that last stop, he looked really P.O'd. I finally got through to him, and he asked my address. I didn't know.
Being the clever (probably obvious) person I am, I realized there was a large Co-Op near my exchange family's house. I asked him if he knew a bus that could take me near the Ishikari Co-Op store. he showed me to a bus that took me right buy my house.
I was confident the whole time, saying to myself, if worst comes to worst, I can always walk home (I had an umbrella! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif I'm glad I've been taking Kendo).
This is all at dusk, and it was pitched black out. I left on the bus at 7:20 pm and didn't get home till 8:25.
so, Thanks to some helpfull bus drivers from Sapporo's Chuo bus lines, and my quick thinking, I was able get home, with nothing wrong but an empty stomach and parched throught.
