Well, here's some news for you: Doug Winger only represents a ridiculously small portion of the furry community - himself. I've logged onto furry websites and community pages. The amount of sexual content is plain old normal. The same amount of content you'd find on any kids-to-adults community. They have G-rated places, PG-rated places and AO-rated places. This way, those who don't like the sexual parts can enjoy themselves in peace while those who want to get it on can also do it in peace. In fact, the only difference between a standard avatar community and the furry community is that in the latter, you pick up the personification of an animal. The "weirdness" as you dumbshits like to call it stops there.

I ain't gonna stop here. Remember, a furry is any animal with human traits. So technically, Mickey Mouse is a furry. Bugs Bunny is a furry. Balto, Daffy Duck, Taz Mania, the Redwall characters, all of 'em are furries. So, you gonna bash those guys too? Well, look what happens. People love those guys! Oh my fucking God!

I can show you guys tons of furry art that is tasteful and in fact very beautiful. I know I could even run across a couple of artistic nudes - not because the artist wanted to fuck her, but because he thought it'd look nice, period.

Speaking as a member of the furry community, I've not seen any of Doug Winger's art. (thank Christ) But I've communicated with people who have, and most agree that it was traumatising. Personally, the mere description of some of those things (which I unfortunately have been exposed to) is enough to squick me.

Technically, those are anthros. (which is a contraction of anthropomorphic animal, since the world in general has an attention span which is insufficient to absorb the whole thing) Furry is the word USUALLY used to describe fans of anthros. You were damned close though.

Can we say "a-fucking-men"? I personally find the idea revolting. Most of the other furs I've talked to agree - sex with animals is a disgusting concept.

AS...interesting... as Doug Winger's art is, it is still fucking amazing to look at. Not for the unique proportions and placements of the body parts, but because Winger's actual artistic skills are fucking awesome.
He has his clear effects, shadiong, everything down to almost perfection.

This is true for ALOT of not just furries, but all of hentai. Though it may be perverse, if you can look at what the artist did, you will really be amazed at their talent.

All of this is taboo, anyways, so just appreciate that someone can draw/paint as good as they can. Besides, something is not perverse until you perceive it as such.

I think my dislike of furries come from the Sonic community. Okay, probably a valid reason for that dislike, but again. It's no different to disliking it because some of the community are yiff-freaks; you're letting a minority of the fandom spoil your view of the entire community.

I know it is that particular community that ruined my experience of the genre. It is ALWAYS people behind any picture that is produced, so well people affect people and each person react differently. It is not like I have something against furry people, it just doesn't appeal to me.
