Well, having just gotten the lovely PSO+, i thought i'd take my lvl 120 HUmar for a trip through the new ep2 quests. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Seat of the heart was a rather large pain in the arse, until i figured out that you don't even have to fight any of the enemies in the control tower. you can just have Elly press the right switch on each floor, and walk right through.

After that, i got to east tower. I managed to fight my way through floor 6. Having already had serious problems fighting previous meri-variants, when I saw the 2 mericarols and 1 merikle, i was like "OH SHIZNIT!"

I seriously need help with how to kill any type of meri flower. The rest of the monsters in East TOwer we're pretty easy (so far; we'll see what happens when I get to the ill gills) I'm a level 120 HUmar and here's my equipment:

Demo Comet (30/0/20/25)
Charge Gatlings (0/0/0/0/40)
Red Handgun (35/0/0/35)
Red Partisan (0/25/15/30) <--something like that
Brightness Circle
God/Arm x2
God/Hp
God/Battle
Rati (10/140/50/0)

I know you're supposed to use mechs on the meris and then move out of the way for the freaking plasma ball thing, but I can't seem to get that down. Should I just give up and try it with my fonewearl or racaseal, or is there a efficient way to solo ET with a HUmar?

Show love to your Red Handgun and dodge like the wind, is all I can advise.

And Carry some Devil Resists,heh.

EDK doesn't effect the balls effect. It kills you no matter what... >_<

I would suggest running between them and casting a quick Rabarta, if your lucky then 1 of them will get frozen. Then bust the gats out and go all out on the 1 that isn't frozen. If neither of them freeze then keep running through and make a circle, then run back through them again and repeat. I had to do that before with my FOmar, it was annoying. Droids have a huge advantage because they have freeze traps.

Just keep trying different things until you find something that works. I once saw a HUmar use a Charge Raygun. He would run up and hit one of them about 2 times then run back. You could also try that approach.

Holy Ray is your friend. >.>

Outside of the usual dodge like a maniac, get thee a RAmarl and a Frozen Shooter and watch Tower cry. >_>;

Maaan... It's been so long since I've done Tower, I'd probably get creamed. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif ...Nah, I can do ET in my sleep. >_>;

Hmm... maybe I can get my friend to trade me his holy ray. He doesn't play PSO much anymore, so I don't think he'll want it.

So, I should try Rabartaing them, and then just do dodge and shoot?? I'm gonna need a lot of practice at it. GAHH!! Those stupid meris!! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_evil.gif

See, what you do, is run up past the Merikle so the Mericarols can't reach you when they spawn. Then you pwn that, and hug the inside wall and inch down toward the Meris along the wall with your rifle. Rifle range will wake up the closer Meri, but if you do it right, ONLY the closer Meri. So you sit there, shoot it, pwn it, and then move to the last one. And then you have fun with the Delbiters. n.n

Think YOUR having problems? My hunewearl is lv 149 and she can't even touch the first Mericarol.
And I can't get a Holy Ray to drop so it's of no use to me.

Remember that Mericarol (not Merikle and Mericus) has very low ESP, I can paralyse it everytime with Ano Rifle, so as a HUnewearl, get a paralysing ranged weapon (if you cannot get Holy Ray, try Arrest Raygun or simply Varista).

Ian is right, Holy Ray will save HUmars and HUnewearls, my advice is to learn the enemy spawn and never, I say NEVER rush the monsters and thus make more of them spawn... gosh I hate onliners that do that and endanger the whole team x_x take them one on one as much as possible.

Holy Ray?
It would be perfect, but you would need a LOT of MST... I don't see a HUmar at level 120 getting 690 MST easily. If you could get some units/mats and a nice mag, go for it. It's the best alternative. And in any case, keep a distance if you can. And a low ESP, wouldnt that mean a Hell's Raygun or something would work well too? That'd rock.

It's 680 for Holy Ray, and you can easily max a HUmar's MST down in the L10xs. XP You'll affect your power some, but then again, you ARE a HUmar... It's not like you lack for ATP. XP

Edit: Affect, not effect, my English teacher is sneezing somewhere right now.

Nope, Hell series is affected by EDK.
That gives me a good idea btw, I just remembered !
Use Hell special on recoboxes if they annoy you, and Devil's/Demon's special on other Tower critters.

A mere Devil's/Demon's Raygun with 30+ hit% would slaughter stuck Gibbles, Ill Gills and Delbiters http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

In rooms with 2 or 3 Del Lilies, blast a Rafoie to prevent their megid-spitting, besides they are weak to fire (at least online).

When Meris go "ding ding ding" they are about to realease a insta-death gas cloud, so run >_>

Remember to always try to have monsters stuck behind barriers or anything.
Meris cannot blast you if you're behind a wall or something, but Del Lilies can...

As a HUmar, carry lots of Sol Atomizers for countering Gi Gue's Lv 20 Jellen/Zalure, annoying x_x

But when you've learned the map and know how to get most monsters stuck while you shoot them to death, you'll find it a lot easier http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Remember that Epsilon is weak to Devil's/Demon's special, can save time http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

And with the bit of invincibility offline, it should be a breeze, even when knocked down by Gibbles >__<

Good luck, have fun http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Well, I can get to floor 6 now in Eat Tower. Found out that using lv 20 Zonde with my hunewearl can do good damage to Mericarol, Foie to Merikl. While staying away from them at the same time. Too bad that floor 6 HAD to have those two Mericarol's at the beginning. They killed me around 30 times, and I STILL couldn't kill them. It's like they completely regenerate their hp whenever I either left the floor or was sent back to Pioneer 2.

Blah. I thought he meant general gameplay in the tower, was talking about lillies...
Guess I should pay more attention.

I dunno about each floor, but they do regenerate when you go back to P2 offline, as with any monster in any PSO since v1.

I'll try to solo ET with my HUnewearl tomorrow (online, of course) and without using Holy Ray; I'll try to come with some advice, I hope.

I'd say they do not regenerate, no PSO+ in Europe, though, I cannot help more =/

Thanks for all the help guys. Much appreciated http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

If my friend won't trade me holy ray, than I don't see myself getting it anytime soon. Also, my HUmar only has 500 mst.

But, anyways, I have some good news. I found a really good technique for kill meris. You know how they go ding-ding-ding like 8 or so times before making a cloud of death? Well, if you go right up to them to make them start dinging, then back away so your safe, you still have time to attack before it starts attakcing again. Once it goes *insta-kill puff!*, then go right back next to it to make it ding ding and then back up and attack again. Repeat until its dead. It worked for me. Also, for mericarols, I just use my weak lvl 15 zonde from long range, dodging the slow plasma balls, until its dead.

Theres no loading time when you change floor, so its not possible that enemies regenerate. It works probably like some kind of warp, not telepipe.

w00t w00t!! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif. I just did my first complete run through ET!! And I only died like 20 times!! LOL. took me a whole fricken hour and 15 minutes though. I figure with some practice I can cut that donw to 45 min to 30 min. No rares, but I did get 2 photon drops on my first try (it was an incomplete run).

I have a question though?? Is episilon supposed to be a complete pushover?? I mean I died twice, but that was because I didn't know what I was doing. Once I figured it out, I just ran around in circles till his shields came out, and then went right next to him and attacked with my demo comet.

My goal now is to be able to do a complete run with 0 deaths. I figure that will take a while... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Yes Epsilon is a pathetic creature and also a very sad excuse for a final Cmode battle. God damn Sonic Team for finishing EP2 Cmode with the Towers; talk about a huge freakin anti-climax compared to the epic Seabed and Olga battles before http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_evil.gif.

Hmm sounds like you're having a fun time in the towers. Don't tell me you want to hunt that dumb sword http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif. Get used to the lack of rares. Towers are very bitchy about dropping items in my experience =/.

Nah, right now I'm just experimenting with the new quests (well, new for me). I might sometime in the future search for the Sealed J-sword, but not now.
