Hm, me starting a thread, what a rare occasion... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

The reason for this is, i am one of the less common european players and own the PAL version. Some know that things are a little different on the PAL verison, like having Secure Feet drop in a red box, or a few weapons specials not working properly untekked, like the Lavis glitch.

Im currently leveling a Bluefull character...
...that rena-ko does not have to host Bluefull all the time for my Book of Hitogata hunt. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I have quite a few hacked weapons, because im checking weapons special attacks for this site, i also have a hacked mag, a 1300 Pushan, which basically maxes out my RAmars MST at level one, which was helpful for doing research on Divine Punishments strength.
A few might remember me saying i have piped for 13 Hildeblues on Redria without success. The Cure/Shock has a drop rate of 87,5%. Bad luck?
Ive been going through normal, hard, and now am in very hard. I havent seen a red box drop, and i have fought a Pouilly Slime on my way, which of course didnt drop Vjaya, which has a 87,5% drop rate.
My question is, is it possible that like on PSO Plus, the Pal version does not allow rare drops with hacked mags?
The funny thing is, i do get Sol atomizers from Belras and Trimates from Chaos Bringers, and Star Atomizers from Bosses in normal mode, which are rare drops. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

I talked about my bad luck (no Cure/Shock) with Sounomi, when she was still playing PSO, and told her the Redria character had a hacked mag, but she was of the opinion, that its just bad luck.
However, thinking of it now, im sure we havent talked about the fact that im playing the PAL version.
Is this just bad luck, or is it a possible improvement over US and JP versions?
Any PAL players willing to play with a hacked Mag? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

seeing as the 52 exp for ult offline gibbles is still in plus, i'd say its just the EU version added with 4 quests.

= lame and not even worth 10 bucks imho.

but that would explain why the PAL version got released with that insane delay...

to be tested in EU ver:
shop dupe.
the mag thing you mentioned.

I can dupe in EU.

And, Prim, on DC, when you had a hack or codes on, only 9+ stars items would not drop, not "rare" stuff, just 9+ stars items.

I didnt talk about the Dreamcast version. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

But that would make sense, since i got the rare drops, like the Atomizers etc. but no red box.
But still, this is just my experience, maybe other european players have made other experience? Well, if they used hacked items that is. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Nobody wants to test this? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

A dupe is not a hack right?

I duped a few add slots and afterwards I deleted the amount of add slots I duped. But since there is no original add slot my brightness circle maybe is made up from a duped add slot. Will this effect anything?

I'm finding rares just like always... today I found a diska of braveman in the ruins... only rare for today.

The game can't tell the difference between a duped item, and a legitimate one. The only way that ST can stop/discourage duping in GC/XBox is to disable the dupe methods (which is patched for XBox and PSO+).

So, no. Dupes don't have any effect.

Thanks... I feel bad that I've duped... I'm glad that I deleted all the items I've gotten extra by duping.

Yes Primrose, I think I can confirm this.
Good thinking.
This happened to a friend of mine earlier. (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=88432&forum=4)
But he was not on plus, and there was no hard proof because of the NTSC version, so noone believed him... x_x;;

Edit: Otherwise the chance for your Hilde thing to really happen would be one in 6.9 * 10^10. Those rates are insane.

Consider this proof.

I tossed my Mag away (and will level instead to test the items http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif ) and will test something.
Ill pipe for Branch of PakuPaku on Bluefull, again, this item has a drop rate of 87.5%.
We will see.

But that example is indeed very similar to mine.

=/ you think this goes the same for stacking items? >.< 'cause I was piping for Elysion from a VH al rappy purplenum drop.

I had some difluids stacked for a mag I was raising... do you think dropping said difluids till I have ten then quitting should be enough to reset the drop rates if this theory is so.

Just before you ask yes I'm also playing the pal version =/
