Ever had this happen? I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Normal Forest with my new BLUEFULL HUcasael, Akemi-Mk. IV (turnons are Dagger weapons and Soul Eater, turnoffs are Hildebears and Walks on the Beach), breezing along at her mighty level 4 ness, when a Rag Rappy was having a tea party with a Al Rappy. So I crash their party, but as soon as I do, bunches of Boomas decided they want some tea. As soona s I dispatch them, two Bears come, and makes my life slighly more miserable... Until the Al Rappy says, screw you guys, I'm outta here.

Errm, what I mean to say was that I missed the little goodie that Al Rappy was supposed to drop me... I have a small nagging suspicion that it would've dropped me what I needed, but at the same time, it may have dropped me a PD... C'est la vie.

So, my question is, did something like this ever happen to you, the skizzled hunters out there? i want to hurt my XBOX now... Grr

you could have put a trap over it while it was playing dead..

traps arent allways effective for waking rare rappy. the timing can be off and you can lose your shot at a rare.

its better to guard it with a quick accurate weapon or fast tech and wait for it to stir.

ive let rare enemies out of my grasp many more times than i care to think about. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif

but i also have many many god/units and other rares from the multitude that i have properly dispatched.

dont worry, theres more where that come from!

When I was a newbie at Ultimate, I went for an offline Forest run.

When I reached Central Dome, a Pal rappy appeared right in the middle of all the mothverts and Tollaws.

When I went to kill it, with all the excitement I got killed by it.

When I got back, a normal Rappy was in its place.

There are two ways to effectively do this:

The first one: kill the rare monster last to make sure it's not going to escape on you while you are getting beaten up.

The second one: kill it (especially near the door), drop a trap on it's head, run trough the door. The thing will try to stand up. Either rely on the trap, or just immediately go back into the room so you're close to it, and whack it on the head with a mallet/saber, shoot it with your Gi-Gue ass, land a quick Razonde to fry the rappy, whatever.

Those chicken rappies, after having been beaten down, will get up depending on 4 situations:

- after a certain amount of time (but I dont have the patience to wait by their side http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_sleep.gif

- after you leave the room (only effective if the felt rappy is near the exit
- after you die (our butcher is dead, nows the time to flee they say to themselves http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_sheep.gif

- after a certain distance you walk away from them (roughly a handgun range)

Someting strange happened to me once during the Egg rappy period, one for which I still havent got an explanation for.
It was in temple with a full room of enemies, including an Egg rappy, 2 Ell rappies, 3 lillies and a few merlans.

The moment I saw the Egg, I decided to kill the whole room and spare the Egg to prepare my snapshot.
I killed the whole room and weakened the Egg rappy quiet a bit and decided to exit the room to prepare the snapshot file. However, when I exited the room, instead of going back to its place and sit down (like all rappies do), the egg rappy fled.

I've had that happen 3 times in a row on my FOmar while TTFing in normal (yes, I was http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif). It was very funny actually, especially when I only needed like 2 exp to level up http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif. Mindless TTF runs make you screw up like this easily.

My RAcast also got killed by the Gal Gryphon's lightning just before my final bullet killed the bastard.

The dragon and Gryphon prolly used a Companion card http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smilejap.gif

Ps: never mind the joke if you never played ep3 http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Ah good old companion, so many times that card can change battles.
