offline FSOD

why?i' didn't know this could happen...could someone tell me how it can happen offline? i just did ult ruins with Dana and i got to the end of the final sequece about 3 seconds before it saves and then the screen froze......well actually i wewnt down stairs and when i came back up stairs it was frozen.....and i turnt the volume up and it was a weird sreecy sound, i pulled out my mem card and reset but it didn't...i'm not sure id it's my PSO as it has a scratch just like my friends so i think i picked up the wronge one.....but still....how can it happen offline?

Either the disk was scrtahed, the Gamecube overheated, the power was interrupted, the disk readeris dirty, or many other reasons.

If you are corrupted, make sure to try all of these techniques (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=83644&forum=3&22).

i experience it many times on & offline..
i think it's both dirty disc & cd lens

I assume that 1.5million exp is a huge exageration and what you really meant is that all you lost was all your progress since your last save, right? Well if you power off the game withough saving then this happens, whereas online you won't lose any progress on your charcter, just all your unequipped stuff http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif.

Sounds like you narrowly missed corruption. If it's your disk then I suppose it might be worth buying PSO+ when it comes out (if you don't live in America).
