Gamecube has many more online missions, including one of my favorates, toward the future. Puls if you're on da 'cube, you might bump into me!

There are few exclusive online quests for XBOX (the Voice Op comes to mind) vs. exclusive online quests for GC (PWs, Pioneer Warehouse,) and of the common online quests, GC gets earlier releases (Respective Tomorrow, for example, was just released for XBOX today to give you a perspective).

One advantage/disadvantage/aggression point of XBOX version comes from the headset. Basically, it's upto you to how much you want to tolerate other people's smack talk, pot induced talk, and general idiocy. Or, you can do what I did, and go the old school USB keyboard ($10 for a cheap one plus few bucks for some cable splicing, or $20 for Gameshark's universal one). Of course, when you have a well honed team, using the Voice Communication can be to your advantage (but then again, if you're in a well honed team...).

Of course, After about 2 or 3 FSODs on XBOX almost a year ago, I haven't encountered any since, YMMV. From what I understand, it's fairly easy on the GC for more shinigance, haxxoring, and such. To be fair, most of the hacked weapons and mags are common on both platforms. But the existance of AR codes and such would make me hesitate a bit.

However, there are a lot less XBOX player now (tops at about 250 per night at most these days).. Unsure how many are on GC per night. And, XBOX does require extra $50 per year for online for LIVE access. On $$$ alone, the GC wins by about $50. Which might be the best reason to go GC for some people.

Yeah, I cant speak for the Gamecube as I dont play that anymore, but XBOX PSO on Euro is pretty much dead.

Updates are pretty much non-existant these days, so I presume people just decided it wasnt worth the fee to play anymore.

Considering with XBOXLive you can play other games for free online, I can understand it.

GC for online and offline http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif.

GC Pros:
-Cheaper console & online fees if you include Xbox Live
-Better games on the console overall, IMO (hope I don't start another console war http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_dead.gif)
-More players online
-Ability to play on the Japanese, American and European servers (not just the region where you live, like how it is on XBox =/). This is a huge advantage actually since the Japanese people are crazy about Cmode, whereas it's virtually impossible to play Cmode on the US/EU servers since nobody has the patience to play it there =/.
-Quicker updates. Xbox gets the new quests a few months later than the GC version. Very annoying I imagine http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif.
-Characters aren't tied to your machine. If your Xbox goes kapuut then your characters are lost.
-Nicer people overall, if you go to the right places. Avoid VEGA http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif. Most of the respected members of this site play on the GC.

Cons
-Easier to corrupt your data (although since you are choosing to buy PSO for the first time, PSO+ (the rereleased version on GC) makes it a lot less likely to corrupt).
-No voice chat. Or is that a blessing? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Ok this list is a little biased since I hate the Xbox and I've never seen PSO played on one http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif. However it is pretty clear that PSO is better on the Cube. Buy PSO+ (doesn't required the original PSO) for the GC and you can even play some quests offline. I think PSO+ and PSO ep3. are the only versions of PSO being sold in shops, and both are on the GC http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif.

One reason...mem cards...Like somone said above, lets say you Xbox brakes, say bye bye to your lvl 163 char and all your rares. Another reason is the offline multi. If the info is in your Xbox, you cant multi. And im just a loyal nintendo fan

I have heard this also... But I think its cause you can't hack GC as easy (just a thought).

I think both PSOs are porous, but the hacking opportunity is greater on GC because of the availability of an actual Action Replay where as the XBOX don't. However, given enough patience and know how, you can easily hack the XBOX just as easily as GC.

You may as well go with GC, the non-voice chat is probably a blessing (I'm thinking towards that these days since most of my group has more or less quit), and more players available at anytime (THANKS MICROJERKS! for separating us US players from the evil JP players! Screwballs), and CMode Players.....

Yea, screw XBOX PSO, go with GC (this coming from a XBOX player).

Uhm... GC PSO is dead in the mornings. US and EU. US has about 35-40 people from 8pm EST to 12noon..then it goes from 40-50 and stays there til 3pm. Don't expect many ult games. GC PSO is extremely active at nigth, about 400+.

So..it blows only in the mornings. Which is when I play..

And vega doesn't have alot of mean people. Just more cheaters. Having played there for 140 out of 157 levels..I know the environment.

Hahaha, you contradicted yourself.
You said that you've never seen PSO played on an X-Box though, "However it is pretty clear that PSO is better on the Cube."

Just search through the forums. I've played both GC and X-Box PSO online and I do prefer PSOX over PSOGC. It loads faster, you can bullshit with people on the headset and the gameplay flows easier when people talk.

This is a person who played both online. I'd go with PSOX anyday over PSOGC. Plus, you don't have to find a BBA or a Modem adapter with XBox. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
