Hey guys. For the last two days I have been having problems typing up my messages on this site. It got really bad today. Im writing this message in wordpad, and am going to paste it into the message body box.

The cursor will blink really fast, and is slow in responding to what I type. At times, I don't evan see the cursor. Also I see multiple cursors. Of course there is only one active cursor, but there are other cursors within the body, that must of gotten stuck. Finally, whenever I push the backspace button, it takes me out of the writing message page, and takes me back to the corresponding topic.

I can type fine in all of my other programs, so I don't think it's my computer's settings. Also I don't run any other programs when I post, so I don't think it's a low system resource problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

What browser are you using? What's your CPU speed?

Could be your Browser needs an update or your CPU is slowing down thanks to some of Gamespy's Flash ads that show up sometimes while you post. >.>

Yeah, I think its the flashy ads, lol. However, I have never had any problems with the ads before. Well, I think I have Internet Explorer 5. My computer is 5-6 years old, so it's reall outdated. It has a 120 MHZ Pentium Processor.

The only reason you didn't have them before is because now the ads are on all pages, including forum pages.

They weren't on forum pages until about 2 days ago when Gamespy demand that we add them to all pages.

Thank god for my hosts file!

...

Say, when are they going to kick this site off planetdreamcast? It's not like it's about the dreamcast version of PSO anymore http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

Well, it's not like PlanetDreamcast.com is going anywhere, but we did propose to get it moved to rpgplanet by sending an e-mail to Tomeeboy months ago.

However, no one's seen the guy in God knows when nor has he replied to any e-mail that I've sent him.

Feh.

Does he still own this site!?

I would've guessed that he and or Gideon would have just given it to you by now and have been done with it...

Gideon's off doing some military stuff, but he signs on AIM now and then to check up on things.

I don't have a clue, really, where Tomeeboy is.

But, yeah, they both still own the site. However, eRUPT and I are the head guys in charge at the moment.

Yes, it is. This site would be alot worse if a crazy mofo like me owned it. WAHAHAHAHAHA...

First change I'd make would be to take it off of Gamespy.

We've actually got some changes lined up and will be getting around to implementing them over time. I might have lost some of the help I had in getting them implemented, but I'm going to try to do some of them on my own anyway.

Hopefully, you guys will enjoy them.

Hmmm... perhaps I could be of little help. I have some knowledge of php, jsp, and mysql. And then graphics, standard html, and writting stuff are absolutely no problem at all.

*shrug*

We'll see. Most of the stuff we're going to handle is getting PSOW where it needs to be in terms of information. Everything you could ever want to know about the game should be able to be found here, etc,.

And some extra bonus things too. Still need to get an order of attacking things planned out before we can start though. Been lagging on that a bit.

Hehe, yeah we know =P

But in addition to covering more stuff. Like I said, there will be bonus type stuff too. Hehe, I'll clue you in a bit later, but we plan to have the site actually offer something which would keep the users coming back and not just the forum. Also have something that would get more people to register too, you know? I think PSOW needs it, especially since the new versions of the game will be coming out soon. We'll be getting alot of new PSO fans, people who've never played the game before but yoinked it for their Cube or X-Box.
