From which amount of ATA can you be assured of hitting everything that is passing by in the Ruins or Seabed?

Online I assume ?

Ruins - 220 is enough, still some "MISS", but it's alright, 240+ if you wanna make sure.

Seabed - 230, except Deldepth. Seabed monsters have average EVP except Deldepth, you won't have much trouble hitting Delbiter, Morfos, Dolmdarl or Sinow Zele with 230 ATA, but you need like 300+ to hit Deldepth very efficiently.

This is total ATA, right?

I find Sinows zeles often are missed with 240 on mechguns although that might be to do with their annoying teleport and invisibilty tricks.

Eheh, I still have to get a weapon that totals up to 300+ ATA myself.

Hrith

RAmarl + Frozen Shooter (0% hit) = 301 ATA.

And yes, Gjl, this is total ATA, since the max base ATA for a Hunter is 218, and 249 for a Ranger.

I've got a Final Impact with 45% hit...

With a 20 dex and a God/Arm I've got around 277 ata...

and, I meant offline.

my RAmar has 340 ATA using a 35% to hit Yas 3k, and never misses a full heavyx3 combo, even in offline multimode, he does miss on some odd times but for the most part he never misses.

I have made a theary that higher ATP helps you hit more often.

have you proven it false? It may not work online, but I believe it does off.

Atp effects damage. That's why it's called Attack POWER. Don't start fuckin rumors people. It's how n00bs get stupider and stupider by the day.

hm yeah, correct me if im wrong someone, but it seems like as enemies move about and come in and out of your cursor/attack icon range they are much easier to miss.

this seems to happen a lot in ep2 where enemies are allways moving, teleporting/turining invisible, and have high evp.

with 90 hit Gatlings and 299 ATA, Deus still manages to get some good MISS action in EP2. i dont even bother with HHH combos. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I don't start a rumor with-out checking out these things first. I have noticed it with the growth of my character. I happen to have the same thoughts as more DFP can increase evasion rate.

But, with only about two levels giving my 1 ATA in my last 20 levels, my hit rating has gone way up.

I didn't say its true. A rumor is something that you just hear without evidence. A theory is something that has been tested and may or may not be true. I'm not saying believe it, but, at the same time, don't believe it can't happen.

Several people here have tested most theories you'll ever come up with, and most are wrong, it's just the randomness of the game playing tricks on your mind (see beats theory).

ATP determines how much damage you will do with physical attacks.

ATA determines how much of that said damage will actually hit the enemy.

That's why you never trade in something like a Dragon's Frame for a Graviton Plate: Yes, it has an amazing defense boost, but considering how slow ATA raises, the -10 ATA is a huge loss. (So you wonder why my friend didn't listen to me about why he wasn't hitting anything in multimode Ult Seabed, with his HUcast, mostly power Churel, Meteor Cudgel and GRAVITON PLATE)

Although I'm not sure about the Def = Evasion thing... basically, if you're a Force in offline Ultimate Forest with level 30 Deband/Jellen, they'll do less than 0 damage anyways, which is why it shows you evading it.

http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif I hate that rumor. Even when you tell them that it set to 0 they think you are lying. I think I saw the person who started that rumor on Denoob 9 http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Of course you will if your ATA can back it up.

Anyhow, hmm my hune has 189 base with 234 or something like that total. And miss every so often in seabed. But almost never in ruins.

Neo48
Oct 10, 2004, 04:01 PM
Thats the thing, I'm a HUcast. The ATA to "back it up" is kind of not there.

Oh.

Then you don't need alot of power on your mag. (130 at most) and dump the rest on dex. Or you could go the very untrustworthy route(in my opinion) and go with 5/145/50/0 and hope to god you find 2 god/arms.

PJ
Oct 11, 2004, 12:51 PM
50 is more then enough Dex on a HUcast mag, he doesn't need to, "Hope to god he finds God/Arms." He should be hitting fine with that +25 ATA boost.

Although a single God/Arm wouldn't hurt, he doesn't need to go crazy about it (My FOnewearl on the other hand... u.u)

Who is crazy enough to go slaying Bartles with his FOnewearl?!?

does lvl, dfp and difficulty define if you get knocked down by a certain enemy?

Ok Ok, Let's settle this!

Having high DEF or HP does NOT effect EVP. Take this example:

My FOmar normally gets hit from enemies in ULT Forest, but after I Deband and Jellen them, NOTHING in Forest EVER hits me. I SEEM to be evading everything, but in reality they are just doing 0 damage to me. But for some odd reason, perhaps a glitch or something, it shows the EVADE animation when they hit you for 0.

Now some ppl have said that Zaluring enemies makes it easier to hit them as well, but I'm not too sure whether that is true or not. In my experience has seemed to be true, but I might just be seeing things.

Now as far as ATP making u hit them more often, that is NOT TRUE. I tested it and it isn't true. I made a character at lvl 1 and went into forest going all POWER hits. For the most part I would MISS-HIT-HIT, then I reset the game and gave my character 4 God/Powers from another character and did the same thing. Guess what? Same average hit. MISS-HIT. They all died on the first attack. =)

Oh and it also seems to be that if you are closer to an enemy then you will hit them more often. I have tested this theory out several times and it seems to be true.

Neo48

Your third theory also seems true. But damn, you are pretty damn lucky to have found a 4 Slotted Frame. I think your way of testing it is not possible. To be tesing as long as I have, you would have leveled many times, and with characters a that level, you get ATA often when you level.

I currently have both of those. Though, I have often thought, of changing this around a bit. But I only use one of the God Arms.

You can hit everything with about 400 ATA.
No, really, even L200 RAmars can miss stuff with special attacks. It's really not that simple. Meh.

Dana

is 400ata possable....well it is but is it REALLY POSSABLE....i mean i have 340 with my 3000R's and i hit okay, but i have had MISS, MISS, MISS! i nnow, 299/300 ish with charge vulcans and a 4* team M/Y is UBER, over 1000per hit easy........anway it's not hard to imagine that with 300 ata you will hit 99% of the hit if not more!

It's called a, "Challenge."

And with only 111 Base ATA (And I do mean it when I say it, OUCH! X__X), it's really hard to hit. FOnewearls may have a good final ATA, but their ATA growth sucks >_>;;;
