It says sange yasha is hunters only in the database, however in the quest Seek My Master, Great Sword Zoke has them equipped in Shino's flashback, and he's a RAmar. Is it mislabeled, or did ST mess with it when they were making the quest so that a RAmar can use SY?

Good question. Theres another similarity to this, in another quest. In The Graves Butler, a HUnewearl has a Beam in her hand.

I'm not sure why they would do the Sange Yasha thing. But, maybe RAmars can equip them.

ST can make NPCs equip anything. In Graves Butler, you'll see a HUnewearl with a Rifle equipped.

No, RAmars cannot equip Sange&Yasha. Like PJ said, ST can allow NPCs to use any weapon they want.

Only thing that confuses me on this matter of NPCs is why they can use mates and the wep won't deequip and why when we do it we can barely do anything and it dequips http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

You don't even SEE Zoke with the S&Y equipped I think. You are just told that he uses them. And yeah, NPCs can equip anything.

No they can't, they cheat! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
By the way, I don't think he used Sange Yasha. As far as I know, he used Sange, and Yasha, but not the merge. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif
But anyway, who would want to equip a Rifle on a Huney. :/ Why not just use Holy Ray?

we can see him with S&Y equipped, in Shino's 'memories'.

I would like to see ST have a NPC of a FOnewearl having a Double Cannon equipped in action. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I can't really remember a case where'd you be doing a quest with an NPC that could use a mate with a different item equipped, since the ones I'm thinking of (HUnewearl, Zoke) just talk to you.

Although on the DC, you still had that RAmar using the Partisan (When Rangers couldn't equip the standard partisan set) (Black Paper, Doc Osto's Research) and he could use Mates. Then again, on the DC, you could have anything equipped and still used mates.

That would make me laugh!

In the offline quest regarding Shino and Zoke (can't remember its name) You find the three swords. Now, this could be the answer. Shino tells you that Kamui is his Left Sword, and Yasha is his Right Sword. This could explain it.

I think thats because it originated in the DC version, where they didnt actually have sange yasha

Possible I guess.

Though if you look, the sange&yasha is actually a Kamui and yasha. I find it interesting that these were Zoke's preffered swords.

NPCs can do anything. They run through megid. They don't get hit by traps. They equip weapons they're not supposed to or shouldn't be able to meet the requirements for. Hell, Donoph can teleport.

i hardly call swinging a Zanba around for 1 hit combos competent. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

all NPCs are worthless. MOME represents the height of NPC worth. he lays down at the worm and dosent die on you. thats as good as it gets!

Elenor and Montague could be considered okay....they're levels are so high that they can survive. (Soul of Steel)

Montague still tends to get pwned sometimes outside of normal mode http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif I prefer the olde fashioned Kireek. Also, Donoph sucks with the Zanba, he does only around 100 damage to normal mode monsters. His Zanbas probably -100% on everything.

Actually he can combo for more than 1 hit, but he times it so badly that he usually ends up getting whacked before finishing http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif.

Some NPCs make decent shields. I used ELLY to stop my lvl 60 FOmar dying from 1 hit KO Sinow attacks in Ult.
