I need to know when this is going to be available. I planned on purchasing PSO JP...but no bba is available yet....and using a 56k modem is almost out of the picture for me because my isp ran my phone bill up the wall and my mom was pissed. I don't want to have to resort using that. So this may very well conclude me not importing..= any information on this would be wonderful. Thanks - Sed

I am pretty sure it comes out sometime in September. If you have to wait until September you might as well get the US version in October (unless it gets delayed http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif )

I don't know about the Japanese BBA, but "The [US] NINTENDO GAMECUBE Broadband Adapter is currently scheduled to be released on September 30, 2002 for an MSRP of $34.95." (http://www.nintendo.com/systems/gcn/gcn_acc_broadband.jsp)

September 30th --;; That's more of the realease of the BBA for JP. And why and how would they release the BBA for US before the game even came out!? The BBA comes out about a month after both JP and US games. But the 56k comes out when the game does. I have RoadRunner and MSN, so I don't really have to worry about it. I'll use the 56k, and MSN until the BBA comes out, and I'll try to see if I can use roadrunner.

You know, you've been "correcting" people in several posts, and it's getting old REAL fast. The US release date for the GameCube modem is September 16th, and the broadband adapter is September 30th. I think the information given from several reputable sites and gaming retailers holds more ground than little ol' HeeroX from Texas.

Yeah, I love hoe HeeeoX knows everything yet offers no source to back his ass up. I believe the BBA will most likely have a world launch or at least launch an almost the same time.

looks like I have grown a HeeroX hate club. Sorry If I double post, but I'm about to go get this info for u. =D No one ever believes me on this board. That's why I post PSO stuff on the FFXI fourms, in the Console Games Section. Like I posted where all of us Importer are gonna meet, when the JP PSO GC comes out for GC on August 8th. You are prob like "but you don't even know the name of the ships you idiot" Well, For all of you that are members of the FFXI fourms, You'd know what I did.

I just hope the BBA makes the Battle Arena better to play in. (Basically Rule 1 went to whom ever lagged the least). Also I hope it's easier to connect to the Japanese servers using the BBA.

You can get a local isp, one that wont run your phone bill up. :/

For anyone who missed it, that was pretty fuckin funny. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I myself am hoping for a BBA, after X-box and GC versions are released, then I'll decide which version to get. Not before. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I'd bet that one could set up a nearby PC to act as a ppp server (http://home.elp.rr.com/terlouw/Links.htm) for their cube to connect to if they didn't have a dialup account available.
