sato and rati colors

need some help determining which color sato or rati to create for my HUcaseal. i've just changed her costume and her purple sato is no longer a good match. so... what color are the markings on the forehead and ears of both a white and a black sato? if memory serves they appear pink and dark purple, respectively, but i want to make sure. as for rati colors, i'm wondering if anyone has links to pics of a white rati and a black rati. i know that ian posted them once a while back, but i cannot seem to get the search feature for the forums to work.

any help is greatly appreciated.

note: i cannot get any of the pictures in the sato gallery to load through either of the browsers on my computer. i would assume this is related to the site going down, but in case i'm the only one experiencing this problem don't flame me. i know the pictures are there, i simply cannot see them.

thanks, TheOneHero. i will definitely not be giving her a white sato. i remembered that i still have a black sato kicking around and i wasn't too happy with that color either. so she'll definitely be getting a rati, though i'm not sure of the color yet. i'd like to add to my request a picture of a gray rati (there are gray baby mags, right?). i want to compare gray, white and black and decide which suits her best.

Yeah, I know this one looks purple, but... that was the black Rati if I remember correctly.

Edit* Yes, they do have gray baby mags, I made one into a Rati and it was more of a white than a gray.

thanks tycho and TheOneHero. very much appreciated. i'm still torn between white or black for a rati, so i think i'll make both. i may try to get a gray baby mag (i would assume it's the alternate color for the black costumes) and make a rati out of that as well.

out of curiousity, anyone have a pic of the forehead and ear markings on a gray sato? (or can anyone tell me what color those markings are?)

here's a new question: which makes more sense for an android HU class charater? rati casts shifta/deband while sato casts invulnerability. a gray sato would match my HUcaseal, but i kind of liked the idea of giving her a black or gray rati. ability-wise, rati's shifta/deband is great for an android -- the low level s/d cast on pb bar full/boss fight status isn't all that wonderful when compared to m&y, but it does allow me to extend s/d status somewhat because i can wait until the initial boost wears off to cast m&y. however, invincibility can make a big difference, though it doesn't last very long. rati should grow slightly faster because i can feed rati moon atomizers to boost both dex and pow, whereas with the sato there is not item that will boost both. should i go with sato or rati? any recommendations?

Personally, I would pic Rati. Because Rati is awesome and is teh uber seksi.

I prefer shifta/deband to invicnibility on a Hu.

yeah, i'm a big fan of rati. too many of my characters are using satos anyway, so i might as well convert her to an all-rati HU.

two last questions on this topic and i'm done...

it appears that an android cannot make an angel wings or devil's wings mag, but can an android use one that has already been created? can't seem to find this in the relevant guide, but i may be looking at the wrong thing.

finally, does the color of a baby mag have any effect on an angel or devil's wings mag? i just got my first christmas present, and whether or not my HUcaseal can use one of these mag types, my HUnewearl definitely can. i'm going to make at least one of each at some point in the near future.

EDIT: and what exactly does the guide mean by no fourth evolution mags? obviously rare mags and mag cell mags are out, but lets say i'm creating a mag and it goes from baby mag to kalki to mitra to ila, and then changes to garuda before lvl 100 because of a stat balance change. would that mean i couldn't use a mag cell on it?

Androids cannot use Devil Wings or Angel Wings sadly. I was hoping my seksi hucaseal Raven could use Devil Wings to go along with the fan fic she was in... -_-

Fourth evolution mags, I'm not to sure about that. (You would think I was since I'm making a mag gallery ^.^;)

But I'm guessing It means it can't be evolved a fourth time. >_>

Heh I thought about creating a mag gallery also. I just got finished creating every Ep1&2 mag in every color variation as well as the color variations for Pretra, Pitri, Soniti and Churel. All the other cell mags I already had. I used to have a Gallery that showed every weapon in the game so a Mag Gallery seemed like a nice addition lol.

BTW baby mag color has no effect on either of the Wing Mags, the Tail mags, Hamburger, Pian, Chao, RoboChao, Opa Opa, Chu Chu, Kapu Kapu or System mags,

When the guide says no Fourth Evo mags, it means that you can't use a mag cell on any of the Ep.1&2 mags like Sato or Rati.

If you're that hard up about a Devil item, androids CAN use Davil's Tail, even though they can't make it. XP

But yes, black Rati is the ultimate in sexy. Make one, or else.

I'm not fond of Invincibility on anybody's mag. I'm the odd man out on that, but it just doesn't last long enough or trigger often enough for it to be of any use to me.

I used a Sato on PW#4, and found it absolutely useless, Amulet is way better in that quest anyway.

I did not say the S/D was good, just that 10 seconds of invincibility is as useless.

I am also seeing invincibility as useless, my RAmar is now lvl 185 and owns everything while soloing, the only times that I could see invincibility as useful is when it is casted when you're about to die, that short secs is enough to refill your life and TP if needed, other than that, it rarely helps in boss battles and is also worthless when PB gauge is full.

thanks to everyone for their feedback.

i ended up creating three new mags: one white, one gray and one black. in a few levels i'll make them all into ratis and pick the one i like best for my HUcaseal (i have a feeling i'm going to keep the black one, seeing as you really can't argue with ian's logic). then i'm going to hard reset my system in order to return the other two mags to a basic mag state so that they're viable for mag cells. one will become a set of angel's wings, the other a set of devil's wings. both of these mags will go to my HUne. not terribly original, of course, as i've seen many HUnes with angel's or devil's wings. it'll make me happy though, and that's what counts.

EDIT: wow. black is the ultimate rati color. definitely keeping the black one! btw, gray rati seems more white than gray but is semi-transparent. (kinda looks ugly if you ask me.)
