And what do you mean by not fair? Go make a website of your own for male-oriented gaming.

I could go make an "Asian Americans" website that caters to their interests as I'm an Asian American... does that make me racist against all other races? Of course not.

Just because a website caters to a minority doesn't necessarily mean they're against the majority.

If they are not against the majority, then why do they need to make a website for themselves? And besides, i'm not saying it's WRONG, I just don't see the point in creating a site for themselves, when they can communicate with each other just as well on sites that are universal

Ok...look...I think this topic is getting a little too deep. Let's face it...when you think of someone who plays video games..you automatically think of men. Second of all...who really cares if a woman/women got together and made a site dedicated to women only gamers. My original post was just for the women to check out. It was no big deal..not a woman against man issue or vise versa. It's not that common to run across a woman to play on PSO...it's either a guy looking like a girl...or you don't find any. At least, I haven't come across it. And, just to point out before another post is posted, I don't ask what their sex is until I play for a while if at all..and I don't care if I play with male or female...I JUST WANNA PLAY!

The reason that there's a need for a "girls gaming website" is because most websites are aimed squarely at guys (as are most games for that). Until that balance gets redressed, I think we have every right to have our own site.

Besides, I would think that most guys would want MORE females to post, not less. And who's to say that said males wouldn't post on the all-female boards as females? On this note, I have a story to share.

One time, when I was about 12, my best friend and I went to the mall theater (whoo boy) to see a movie. At the end of the movie, there was still a bit of time before my mom would pick us up, so we wandered over to their "arcade" section, which consisted of maybe 3 or 4 machines. I plonked a quarter into Samurai Shodown and picked Nakoruru, and spent the next five minutes or so getting used to the controls.

I was in the middle of a fight when some tall, older punk came up, thinking it'd be a piece of cake to beat me (cheap ego boost!). He picked some macho looking beefy guy or something (I can't remember exactly who it was), and the battle was on.

I thoroughly kicked his ass.

Seriously. He didn't have a chance. This could have been because of luck, or maybe he just sucked, or maybe I was actually good. I don't know. Nevertheless, he was pissed. Ok, women gamers are a good thing. They do need a site of their own because men when getting together in large groups generally have a group mentality towards women of "Look at the arse on that!"

The problem here lies in 2 things. One relates to the structure of the brain (no not size = intellegence, but the interaction between emotion and intellect...too much to go into here) and biology. Men are built to look at a woman and think "Gee look at the arse on that" if we didn't then no more humans.

This topic wasn't suppose to be about men against women..or women against men. I have a male friend who I kick his ass in Soul Calibur...and all you see is his jaw drop to the floor in amazement...of course...he isn't like most men who gets pissed off...he gives me my props along with leaning over to give me a kiss for doing it...he is a master at video games..and quite frankly..I'm just about the only one who can kick his ass in fighting games..but then again..we have been playing together for about 10 yrs! We usually play to 10..and the score is usually 10-6 my favor. Anyway..back to the original topic...I showed up at Puck 5 last nite at 9:00....there was about 3 gamers there..no one stepped to me..no one approached me talking any shit...all that was pretty much said was "look..she showed up"..hell yah I showed up. My friend I,mentioned up above, met me there for our usual nightly game (Tobokke) and once we got to Pioneer 1...he asked me if I was starting fights. Me...no..of course not...I told him those were busters from PSO WORLD doubting my skills. He said..f_ _k em...boo...I know and you know you got skills...Too bad no one approached me to come on down to game...cause I hooked up with someone last night and wooped some monsters in the Ruins last nite..OH..AND BY THE WAY..I DON'T THINK I'M QUEEN BEE...whether or not you're just screwin around with your postings to just "tick me off" isn't working. You can take this next comment as a serious one or me just trying to tick YOU off...FACE IT..TRUE WOMEN GAMERS CAN KICK A GUYS ASS IN VIDEO GAMES 8 OUT OF 10 TIMES PLAYING.

And I must add that when a woman gamer beats a guy (and I mean beats as in game not beats meat) at least I don't brag because "I'm a girl and I kicked your ass"..I brag cause guys usually THINK that they will win just cause THEY ARE a guy..and they're playing a chic. Sometimes women have to make it a point to kick the hell out of a guy just to prove that they aren't any better!
