I was thinking about what would happen if SEGA decided to port PSO3 to the PC, so there would be all 3 games on the PC.

I think that many more people would experience the game more, since many people didn't want to play a card game on the Gamecube. Or card game for that matter.

Wouldn't this be a good idea? The only thing that'd be bad is that SEGA would violate the 'Only On Gamecube' logo.

I think that would be the point. I actually did play the game for a while, just not online. Anywhere I heard about the game it was mainly people complaining that it was a card game. I don't think it would help to port it to PC or DS.

I don't think the game would sell very well if it were ported to the PC. Your average PC gamer tends to want to play RPGs and FPS game. Episode 3 doesn't fit into either of these genres. Also, the game would be a poor candidate to port to the DS. Episode 3 battles can last quite a while, which goes against the "pickup and play for a little while" philosophy of most handheld games. Additionally, the portable market is already flooded with card-playing games.

tho seeing the tons of yugi-oh games for gba, this would be a rather relative opinion.

its possible for DS, seeing as sega is rather desperate with porting everything everywhere but since the game itself on cube didnt really sell well...

for PC...
if, they'd have included it into BB already...

Well, seeing that other TCGs that've made the jump to the PC such as Magic: The Gathering and recently Yu-Gi-Oh, it'd be nice to see something like PSO Ep.III come to the PC.

However, most people you see on the GC who play it, have their HL for it coupled with their EpI&II HL... They could probably do the same for PSO:BB, but even then, you've also got to look how well it sold before...

Anyhoo, that's my opinion. All I can do, is still keep scheming ideas for a fan-based Ep.3 Online Battle program. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Violation of the "Only for GameCube" logo hasn't been any barrier for SEGA - they ported Super Monkey Ball to PlayStation2 and Xbox without any big backlash.
