Tiny snapshots

I finally got a couple of snapshots onto my PC. I was very surprised that they were only about 3 inches by 2 inches (75mm by 50 mm) in size on my screen. When I zoomed the pictures to a reasonable size, they went all blocky.
I can live with them being so small, but is this the size they are suppossed to be, or is it something to do with my PC?

on gc & dc, snaps are at a set size.. you can't change it!
on bb, it's your screen resolution
so if you want biggies, get a capture card~
