View Full Version : Unprofessional prick...

A few months or so ago (around this past November), I requested for my weblog to be re-reviewed. Now, not only did I have to wait a month to be reviewed, they totally disreguarded my request to have the same person (Yelena) review me! Instead, they had a temp. reviewer look at my weblog, and I have to say, she totally pissed me off. This "Amanda" chick didn't write as professionally or even bother to look though my weblog or read the requested posts. Sure, she may have been right about some of the things I've typed. But that still gave her no reason to go about the review with such careless-ness.

But hey. It was free.

Then again, as they say, "You get what you pay for."

The post I made about it is right here. (To save space.)

I didn't send a complaint to the website that reviewed it, though. (Because I thought there would have been no point to it.) All I know is that I'd totally deter anyone (that I know of) from getting their weblog reviewed by them. It's crazy, I know.

The thought of reviewing a weblog just seems wrong to me anyway. Sure you may personally find one and read it, like it, and refer a friend. But a site or company the reviews them is just BS. I mean these are supposed to be journals, outlets for our daily lives and minds, how can we be judged "fit for the masses" by that?
My journal on DeviantArt may not be entertaining, and I really dont care who reads it, or what they think of it, because in the end its just for me. I'm just gracious enough to let the rest of the world have a peek at me.

Sometimes it's just interesting to know what other people think of whatever crap I just so happened to post. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif But then again, people DO pay for this stuff, and I don't even know why. Take the Weblog Review for example...

People PAY for this stuff. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif I'm not that crazy about what someone thinks about the way I spell "the" and "and". Note that quite a few of the weblogs there are personal weblogs.

It's crazy, eh? Ah well. *Goes back to typing my crap*

Guess you can't ask for a review if you're going to get pissy at someone's opinion. You asked, they answered, without bias.

Nah, nothing is without Bias, its just everybody's bias is different. You could say that they are at least not pulling punches on their reviews. Thats always refreshing, I suppose, unless your the one getting hammered by some doofus who thinks they know enough about the world to judge you by a few rants on a blog.
You should have a botton on your blog for complaints, make it an animated one of someone sitting on a pole and spinning...

Without bias, in the sense that they don't know her personally, and only base what they are saying from the journal.

Either way, take any constructive criticism you can from their review, if such a thing can be done considering it's a journal, heh.
