I have comcast digital cable and i just got my BBA.

When i try to connect to the net i get

failed to create an IP adress from DHCP. DHCP server may not exist or may be down

care to explain some more?
elaborate on your set up, like how you connect your gc, etc?
if you want help, give as much info as you can so others can help you faster & better =|

Power cycle the modem then see if it resolves an ip for your BBA. The DHCP server is what Comcast is using to assign IP addresses to machines on their network (which are typically leased for 4 days at a time, however if there is no need to assign a new ip, then you may end up keeping the same IP for weeks or even months at a time.)

If the power cycle fails, then you may need to have them manually add the MAC address of the BBA to their system so that its recognized as a machine that can be accessed by their network.

I have Comcast as well, and unless you're using some special kind of router, you can leave all the blanks open [you don't need to fill out DCHP / IP whatnot].
