Photon Drops

I have looked at the Photon Drops (PD) page.

I have got about 5 PD but have never seen a Photon Shere (PS), where would you find them and how do they compare to PD.

It seems that 120 PD are equal to 1 PS.
Any ideas??

You buy a photon sphere for 99 photon drops in the online Gallon's Shop quest. As far as I know, you use it when you've done one of the tower quests, and you can use it to add 30% to one of a weapon's stats, not hit though. Ive never used one, so im not entirely sure, but I think it says somewhere on the site.

You can not find Photon Spheres from enemy drops or from boxes, they only way to obtain one is to do the online quest "Gallon's Shop" and exchange 99 Photon Drops for only 1 Photon Sphere.

So it basically is the same as 120 PDs but its like a discount sort of thing.

Obviously I didnt read the guide to closely.
But thanks for the help.

So if you keep using them to add to certain weapons could you get it up to;
Native: 100%
A Beast: 100%
Machine: 100%
Dark: 100%

Is that possible??

Nope. You can only use PDs to add percents up to 3 areas with 100% in each, which is also the legitimate maximum. Check the guides for specific details.

Also Fanta:

1) Think wisely before using your Photon Drops. No sense wasting them on a weapon that will ultimately become moot. Save them for that ultimate weapon someday, specifically a good special on an s-rank or to add percents to your favorite weapon.

2) You can only do it online. If you will never play online, sell 'em.

hey, i want my s-rank katana, they dont tell me the cost on a bonus abilitiy, but i do know there are 3 or 4 costs, depending on which ability you add to your weapon... and is it true that S-Rank Weapons text are in red?

Weapons can only have percents in three areas at the most. This includes Hit, even though you can't add to Hit anyways.
