Step By Step Instructions for Modding the GC?

Well my dad is determined he can Mod the GC himself. He says its only 2 wired you have to change or soemthing and that he can drill a hole and put a button or a switch to change it from US to JP mode.... He says its only changing transistors. hes a computer engineer so i believe him. ANYWAY i was wondering where i can get step by step instructions? thnx. O and if he breaks it i get a new one anyways heh.

alright i got the instructions but now i cant find a 4.5 mm Gamebit... my dad wont order from ncsx.com because the shipping is too much he says. heh... anyways is there any other names they call them? Maybe i can get it at Radioshack or an electronics store? i think its called a hex or soemthing but i have found no good search results.

How handy is your dad with a soldering iron? There's really only one thing that needs to be soldered, but it's pretty small.
