Yamigarasu- opinions?

Hey, I'm thinking of hunting a Yamigarasu with my Yellowboze HUcaseal. I know that it drains HP and randomly confuses you, but I have a Cure/Confuse anyway. What are peoples opinions on it, and do you think it's worth searching for?

I have it and use it from time to time, just becaue it matches my characters setup. Its got a nice effect to it, and the confuse thing doesn't bother me as much, even without the Cure/Confuse. My Anti level cures it, so its no big deal. Though having a Cure/Confuse would be a little more economical. HAVE GOOD MOSH PITTING!

Well, I'm not a big fan of using Katanas, but Yamigarasu has good stats, and it looks totally badass, so I'd go after it.

Yea, I say go for it as well, I got mine off of my Virdia Hunewearl and it's an awesome weapon on my RAmar.... it reminds me of akujiki in Shinobi, it life drains like it and has the same glow.

The Yamagarisu is one good weapon, I say. Though I do not own one, I would go hunting for one just to have it in my katana collection.

Cool, thanks for replies, ive seen Yami before, and it looks badass, plus i quite like the katana class on the game (bit of a japanese sword fan http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) Might start searching tonight. I know PW4 has tons of Ill Gills, but I think that even tryin to solo that is a no-go, so I might just stick with tower runs, unless anyone wants to try and help (im Skyly, so there's some nice drops http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif)

Since soloing PW4 is never going to happen, I'm probably gonna have to just run East Tower over and over. Just a bit worried about the amount of insta-kill there http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif, and I dont have a Holy Ray. Ive got some 35% hit Gush Vulcans, a Suppressed Gun, and quite a few HU blades, any ideas on how I should attempt to solo the East Tower? I know that mechs aren't bad, but you stand still for ages after the firing animation, and they dont have a great deal of range either. Anyone give me any advice?

You've got a Supressed gun - that might be your best ranged weapon.

West Tower is tricky for soloing until you've run it enough - especially at your level.

Best recommendation, as Kef says, hook up with a higher level Viridia - preferably a Ranger with a Frozen Shooter or a Force with high level ranged magic spells (I personally like Grants for long-range flower killing without the risk) or timely zonde casting.

Now with either your Hunewearl or your Hucaseal, you can bring those high level blades into play as long as the ranger/force keeps them frozen/distracted. The Hucaseal can also drop her own traps and keep them frozen which really helps.

There are a few key areas to stand upon entering certain floors and they are best practiced with a knowedgable player until you are comfortable with your positioning.

I got my Yamigarasu off an Ill Gil on Skyly, so it is possible - but go with Kef's recommendation.

I love it. Was one of the first weapons I found when I got online. Very good with rangers being one of the few Katana's they can use.
