Can we cut down on the sticky topics?

Is it just me or are there way too sticky topics in each forum? I understand a sticky is to be read first in a forum since it contains something important to the community, but it gets annoying after a while to scroll down past 11 sticky topics every time you load the page.

Anyway, forum by forum, can't the following stickies be de-stickied? If it is a guide, then let's make a guide index until Loli or someone adds the guides.

I'll go compress some of the stickies for where I mod. But yeah, I agree that places like tech support and fanworks are kind of getting out of hand with stickies. A single sticky with links to the threads would probably be good idea until the things that need guides get guides.

It would be a lot tidier, to just have 1 sticky in each forum, with links to all the other previous stickies.

just a note to those who concern about posting in those unstickied topics, those listed in the main stickies - think of them as 'floating stickies'
they, & only they, can be bumped
..until we find a better way to handle the clutter =)
