For everybody new to PSOW:

- PSO is for PC, DC, GC, and Xbox. -_-

- PSO Plus Does NOT have Gallon's shop. The only thing added is Episode II Challange Mode, East Tower, West Tower, Seat of the Heart, and Central Dome Fire Swirl.

- Offline Multi-player difficulties and levels needed to enter:

Normal - Any level
Hard - All players must be at least 20.
Very Hard - All players must be at least 40.
Ultimate - All players must be at least 80.

You do not have to be in Very Hard (example) in Single Player to be in Very Hard for Multi-player.

- Phantasy Star Universe (PSU) now has it's own forum, be sure to check it out! Phantasy Star Universe Forum (http://www.pso-world.com/viewforum.php?forum=20&9899)

- Episode 4 is NOT on GC or Xbox, and most likely will never be.
- Blue Burst is Episodes: 1, 2, and 4. It is NOT on GC or Xbox. BB (Blue Burst) Is exclusive for PC. And there it will most likely stay. ;p

- You CAN NOT Pipe on BB.
- This BB thread is very important (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=82963&forum=1&632)
- As well as this (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=91119&forum=3&20) thread.
- Nites' BB FAQ (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?mode=viewtopic&topic=98400&forum=1&start=0)
- Episode 4 Drop Rates have been added to the Item Database (http://www.pso-world.com/items.php)

- If you want to post pics of your characters, use this (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=84867&forum=1&973) thread.

- There is no way to run faster; lagging can cause the game to do things it shouldn't. Ex. Players attacking slower, not able to lock onto enemies. Etc. Etc.

- When playing PSO, you will encounter 'columns' in various places. To get to Ruins in offline PSO, you must touch these 'columns':

Red is in Forest 2.
Blue is in Caves 2.
Green is in Mines 2.

Where they are at in these areas differs upon which map you get. Maps for Episode 1 & 2 are located here (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?section=Maps&op=viewtopsection).

- If you are wondering what to hunt with your Section ID; you may look here (http://www.pso-world.com/item_findings.php) and use the Item Database (http://www.pso-world.com/items.php). If you would like further help, you can use This forum. (http://www.pso-world.com/viewforum.php?forum=7&141005) If you intend to post there; This thread is very important. (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=84571&forum=7&0).

- Need to know if you are ready for Falz or Olga Flow? Use the GUIDES (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php).

- Wondering if you're ready for an area? Or what a monster is and their weakness's? This (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?section=Beastiary&op=viewtopsection) will help you.

- Techniques are covered here. (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?section=Technique&op=viewtopsection)

- How much a weapon will boost a Technique type is covered here. (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=472)

- Your character have a status effect? Need to know how to cure it? Check this (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=338) out.

- Challange Mode (C-mode) Information can be found here. (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?section=Challenge+Mode&op=viewtopsection)

- Battla Mode (BA) Information is here. (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?section=Battle+Mode&op=viewtopsection)

we already have many members, old & new alike, who ignored or overlooked the guides & stickies, then went ahead & made topics anyway

It's a neat guide, but no new person is ever going to read it. Instead of something like this being in the forum, we need to add it to the sign up page.

In other words, make this a page right before the spot where they submit their desired screen name and pass word.

Also...people could be a little bit nicer around here to new people. I mean, the forum search doesn't always seem to work a 100% of the time. Granted, it helps to try multiple keywords.

I just think that hostility turns people away from this great game. I'm very thankful to the kind people on DC that helped me along when I was a newb, and I'd really like to do the same for these people.

Bah, sorry for getting off on a rant ^_^;

See, It's a joke, see? n00bs who ask stupid questions anger people. Angry people may flame (i.e. say mean things). So It's a barrier to protect n00bs from angry people who see the same damned questions every day, see?

BTW, you're still pretty much a newb (but not necessarily a n00b) at level 27. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Nice work TOH. Anything that helps keep the fora n00b spam free goes down as OK in my book.

I never got a PM.

And upon each newly created session on the site, only topics with posts since your last visit will be marked as unread. There is no button to mark them all as read for your current session.

If the topics aren't being marked as read after each visit then you have cookie issues.

Hmm, well this is my first post and I must say this is a top-notch site. It never hurts to meet new people, I always say. I have a couple of questions:

1) Where is the search feature on the Message boards, so I don't have to start a new thread, if it is uneccesary.

2) I've got the Gamecube Ep I & 2 Plus version, along with the classic games, on GBA and Genesis, respectively. I was wondering. Should I make the jump and finally play online? I don't have a network adaptor; and I've also read about cheaters, that can hack you and get your character completely deleted. And if there is one thing I don't like; it's starting over on videogames. How prevelant is this? And should I even worry about going online? With a new game coming out? (Note: have never played any games online before.)

At the end of the threadlist in a forum. You'll see a field with search left to it.

I'd suggest staying offline if you're worried about that and play PSO BB for PC instead. There is no corruption on PSO BB. there is on GC.

What does the little flame and/or the red-shaded folder mean? Does that mean people are flaming each other in that thread? Haha. And what does stickied mean? Is that like a floated thread?

Mitz
Jul 26, 2006, 07:14 AM
Flaming thread is popular one. Red-shaded means it's posted in since your last log-on/view. Stickies means they are imporant threads who stay at the top of the page.

If you go to a certain server's forums they have a guide under BB tech support there's an installer on the first page of it. Download it and install it.

Are any of the 4 quests you get in PSO Plus (Seat of the Heart, East Tower, West Tower, and Central Dome Fire Swirl) any good for exp grinding (or anything) or no?

Are any of the 4 quests you get in PSO Plus (Seat of the Heart, East Tower, West Tower, and Central Dome Fire Swirl) any good for exp grinding (or anything) or no?

East Tower is one of the best ways to farm tougher ep2 mobs, and the experience is great if you can drop them quickly.

West Tower isn't exactly a farm-worthy quest but completing both Tower sidequests are necessary to add %'s to a weapon with PDs. That requires getting online, though.
