GC: Anti-FSOD codes...do they work?

I should mention straight up that I'm not actually looking for these codes and I don't want anyone to tell me via these boards or anything. The last thing I want to do is to break the PSOW board rules. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

So, anyway, as the subjct line entails, I'm curious if those Action Replay codes (for PSO Ep1&2 for the GC) that supposedly can keep you from getting FSOD-ed actually work as advertised. I'm not into cheating at all, but if these could keep my characters safe from corruption via a FSOD-X I'd seriously consider buying an Action Replay for the protection alone. Does anyone have any experience with using an AR in this way?

Again, I don't want any codes or anything, I just would like a little info on the subject. Thanks.

but yes the codes work, or you could always use schthacks proxy, if u know how to set it up.

I have a decent idea of what im doing, im just a giant ass fan of episode 3, so I took right to things as soon as I could =o
