XBox: What is the highest level of grind on the sealed j-swo

See title, basically wondering what is the highest grind level you can take the j-sword. Most of my weapons Ive found i cant take higher than 9, someone i know reckons his is at +50. Is all this weapon grind individual to the item or what?
