when i transfered my character to my friends memory card he lost his memory card. so how did i get it back the other day when it was still transfered.

It must have been transfered back before he lost it.

no he lost his memory card 3 weeks ago and i got my guy back yesterday

When you play multi mode, it isn't moving the entire character file over to his card when it makes the transfer. The data that is transfered is only a copy, with the original file remaining on your memory card.

I had a card go corrupt after transferring one of my friend's data to it. We imediately tried his card and his original character data was fine. You're just going to lose everything that you did while you were on multi mode.
