View Full Version : Too easy?

Hahahahaha!
I think I just made the Ult forest a little TOO easy. My melee fomarl at lv 51, armed with an Angel Harp, G-Assasins Sabers and a Diska of Liberator with 35% hit cleared the forest on her very first trip in 15 minutes FLAT!
Never, EVER transfer lv 29-30 S/D/J/Z with a super mind mag to one of those. Makes it too easy. >_<

one of the main reasons I dont play GC PSO much anymore, and quit my main character. ULT mode is child's play. Heh trying to go though Ult Mode as a FO in DC, now thats a challenge.

How about giving your Angel Harp a go against Ult. Da Rol Lei, Vol Opt, Dark Falz, Barba Ray, Gol Dragon, Gal Gryphon or Olga Flow. Or just make a pass through lower Seabeds and see how the Morphos, Deldepths, Delbiters and Sinows like your melee fomarl.

That's just for starters.

Next, go solo East Tower or West Tower with your lvl 51. I just completed both solo with my lvl 142 Fonowearl and it was anything but easy.

Now give the RT and PW4 quests a try.

PSO has many layers of difficulty. The forest is a great leveling place for many lower levels just getting into ultimate because very few things can one-hit kill you or toss megid at you. That changes oh so quickly once you leave the comfortable sanctity of the "easy" forest.

That does not make PSO easy.

If you want some challenge and hella fun, take your melee fomarl through Ep 2, stage 4 challenge. My casting/support Fomarl completed that last night. It was hard, you have to be crazy careful to support well and not get killed - but it was some of the best PSO action to be had.

Note- this is not intended to be a flame to ANYONE.

For the 346,324,090,562,980th time, I am OFFLINE ONLY!

Fair enough.

But remember, the game is called Phantasy Star "Online" with the emphasis being online.

For offline play, the forest is a good place to gradually level while hunting rare drops.

I guess my reaction is more due to the use of the "this game is too easy" nature of the original post.

try to get PSO+ and you can access east and west tower offline, but online is where the fun is at

In all honesty if you are judging ult by forest ruins will own you so badly you'll be crying by the end of it.

The forest is supposed to be easy. there was a problem when you went from VH to ult. in V2. it was impossibly hard. now they give you a training area.

First of all the forest IS easy.
Second, your character is tweeked to hell and back.
Third, to imply that the entire game is easy just because the forest is easy is about as retarded as saying calculus will be easy because you can add and subtract really well.
did he eat paint chips or was he shaken?

PW4? 10000 kills in MA on Ultimate? >_>

Remember, Skorpius is the one that solos PW4.

It's only hard for the rest of us, I guess.

Don't forget, Maximum Attack 1 ultimate mode never existed until Blue Burst.

For those of you who say PSO is easy maybe you should stop using twinked items and stuff, it makes the game far more challenging...

I dont know anyone who would say the DC version was easy. I have had a heck of a time with the gamecube split screen version with my friends too, but it was sure fun

Like people said above me... Forest just isn't all of Ultimate mode. Nonetheless, offline mode is easy. Unless you have PSO+ for West Tower, it's not getting much harder...
Online mode is a bit more challenging though (try to play in incompetitive teams using a bad character? xP). I'm not sure why people are mentioning the MA quests (those were hard?), Phantasmal World is fun.

PW4 isn't difficult. I find PW3 much worse than 4 ;/
Getting 10k kills is only time consuming. Not even that, you can trade your tickets for points, making it EASIER.

Only thing difficult is a level 40 RAmarl and level 40 RAcast trying to do Hard Mode seabed x.X;

That's SUPPOSED ot be C-mode. But memorizing the maps and knowing the puzzles takes that C out of C-mode. PSO is not hard. It is not difficult. And it seems Ian and I are the only ones who really know this. >.>

Sweet!:D I can't wait to get there!

I agree, PSO isn't hard in any regard, it may be challenging for some, but I played it a long time ago and know all offline maps and learning some of the offline multiplayer ones, I haven't did C-Mode yet due to the need of more players but if I could get my brother and my other 2 friends who used to play the game to go through it with me, I would, but as things stand now, PSO is easy.

BTW I'm basing this from my offline exp. but online wouldn't alter my decision that much, if any.

PSO is not hard. I can practically play it in my sleep. IceBurner can attest to the fact that I often space out and go into "PSO autopilot" while I'm playing. And that's as a FO, doing support AND attacking, and doing it well. *shrug*

C-mode and the like are a challenge, just because you have to know exactly what to do. But other than that, most of the challenge in the game is artificial.

And yeah, playing as a FO on DC Ult is frustrating as hell. It shouldn't take a lv 120 FO her full amount of TP just to clear one room, but it does. >_<
