As I posted in the Character Gallery, my idea was stolen from Navi, but I think her drawing came about a year ago =o

I'd like 2 (Or 3, but the last one is least important) drawings, each with 2 different characters.

a) Gold

I'd like a picture that has Gold, and female Gold (Yeah, that's the stolen bit in case you weren't in the Character Gallery http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif ) posing together.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v718/PJ_PSO/Episode_1_2/PJ_SC/SCepsilon.pnghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v718/PJ_PSO/Episode_1_2/PJ_SC/SCgun.pnghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v718/PJ_PSO/Temporary/Goldfemalereference.png

Male Gold holding Flight Cutter, Female holding Orotiagito and both having Black Ring. Both have Devil's Wing

b) Silver

Basically, same thing only with Silver.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v718/PJ_PSO/Temporary/Silver.pnghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v718/PJ_PSO/Temporary/Silverfemale.png

Male Silver holding Soul Eater, Female holding Partisan of Lightning and both having White Ring. Single Rukmin, almost shared between the two

And, the least important one, but if anyone wants to do it in place of the other two, feel free http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

c) PJ

Same as the other 2, only with PJ... yeah.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v718/PJ_PSO/Temporary/PJ.pnghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v718/PJ_PSO/Temporary/PJfemale.png

Both holding SRank Rod, and Purple Ring. Single Soniti, shared between the 2.

Thanks a lot http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I might do it if I can pry myself off PSO.

I could try but don't hold it against me if I don't. That and I've never seen S-Rank Rod so unless it's a regular looking rod I got nothing.

S-Rank Rod is just like a Rod with gold photon.

Hmm... didn't come out right the first time I drew it. I try again later tonight.

Was thinking of those playing cards. The Jack, Queen, and King ones.

It's not a redoing of your picture, this is a completely different request http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif (Because, you know, I LOVED your picture)

Well I've been messing around with your Gold characters, but hadn't really found a pose I liked. Then I just grabbed a magazine as reference and scetched out the female, liked it and continued to sharpen it till I got this. I took a few liberties with a costume, and it occurs to me now that I forgot the Devil Wings, but those can be easily added. This turned out pretty well, if I can find a suitable pose for the male, then I'll juxtapose them together in the final CG. But that'll take time.

If your curious what mag I used for the reference, it was the front cover of Sync magazine. Finally a good use for that bi-monthly pile of tripe. I'm glad my subscription is free.

Male gold is in the picute now, I drew him tonight. Didnt use any reference so he might lack a bit of the females grace, but hey he's an ars kicken Humar, and he can get away with it. The line quality isnt quite as good as the female, because I simply printed out a copy of her and drew him behind her, and computer paper isnt as receptive to cleaning lines as sketch book paper.
You can see his Flight Cutter through her left arm, its a shame most of it will be covered in the final image, but no other pose seemed to work. He will prolly be just a bit lower in the final bit, just to keep the ground perspective accurate. Once again I left out the Devil Wings, and will add them in the finished image. Speaking of which, anyone got an idea for a back ground, its not my strong suit, I'm open to suggestions.

Alright, after about 7 hours for each character I've digi-inked both in illustrator, and this is the render. Moved her position slightly so that her feet are between his spacially, it gives it more cohesive feel. A few quick tweaks, and the addition of Devil Wings it'll be ready for coloring. 14 hours just for inking isnt really acceptable in my book, but to get the quality I wanted I had to go into almost every minute detail. I havent done a high-quality pic in a while so I'm pretty slow. Still looking for ideas on the BG, my dad thinks I should put them on a 3d vase...but thats why he's an accountant and not an artist T__T.

Nice, clean "inking". You used the pen tool, I assume? I've never had any patience for that myself--I'll probably be a rasteraholic until the day I die--so I'm quite impressed. But one thing really sticks out when I look at both your sketch and final outlines: the girl's head looks shrunken! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif If you could enlarge it, your picture would look even better. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Her shoulders seem a tad broad, too, compared to the hips, though I'm sure that effect will mostly go away if you make the head bigger.
Thumbs up.

yeah, I agree her head is just a smidge small, and the large shoulders things is pretty much a by-product of that...unfortunatly I'm a little to far into the final coloring to enflate her noggin easily. If the final pic simply looks to goofy then I'll fix it, but otherwise I'm gonna let my lazy side win out on this one http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Maybe you could just pretend she's one of those elf things from FF11, they got tiny noggins too.

oh and for the inking, I used illustrator 10. I treated any organic lines (skin, hair) like shapes, in order to have maximum control over the lines. And for any hard, or non-organic lines (armor, weapons) I simply uses 1pt or .5pt lines. There are a few exceptions of course. This gives a good degree of control, and a nice subtle sepration between hard and soft objects.
Only problem is its pretty dern slow untill you get reeeal good at it, which I'm not yet...
