Meh.

Never cared about the Gran Turismo games, or racers in general.

Sounds boring, so count me out. I'm sure it's gonna be great for lots of other people, though.

Definitely has impressive graphics, though. Who knew games could look that good on the PS2?

What does that mean, 695 different kinds of Civics and maybe 5 decent cars?

There is only 5 or 6 civics and many awesome looking cars. If you want to see all of them look for a car list.

Yeah, I was just kidding. I think the game looks like alot of fun, but I don't have a PS2. I like driving games maybe even more than RPG's.

They do exaggerate car and track numbers though....

I know they exaggerate... but if you find a car list you still notice that there is MANY cars to choose from. The Japanese version has a Nike car... Many of the cars are Skylines, 60 something. I think the creators like Skylines... http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Well then you're in luck. This is basically a RPG with cars. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Well Skylines are pretty bad ass cars, you have to admit that. I plan on picking up a copy of it when I get outta work tomorrow. I wonder if it will be able to pull me away from Seiken Densetsu 3... meh I doubt it. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

GT4 has the most impressive graphics I've seen in my life. I was watching my brother play it while listening to some people scream at each other in the XBOX PSO lobbies and I found myself drooling over the Camaro. Too bad he's returning it tomorrow... Bleh...

But will it be more fun than Burnout 3?

Debatable.

Probably not as fun, but it will have much more replay value. Burnout 3 is one of my favorite games... crash mode pwns.

Man right off the rip... you can't disable the autoload and autosave features. I really hate both of those and they are seriously gonna get on my nerves...

You can turn them off. Go to options, and select Turn off autosave. I did... because I just got it. Wow. The graphics are amazing no doubt, and I have a Red Corvette ZO6. I enjoy the game thus far. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

You can change it to "restricted" but it still saves when you buy a new car. The main reason I hate that is because in GT3 I'd buy a car, put a ton of money into it and mess around with it to see if I even liked it before I kept it. Oh well I'll just have to make sure I like my car before I press buy =/ Stuck with the Skyline for a bit I guess.

Another question for anyone who has it, have you gotten it to go into Dolby Pro Logic II mode? I set it to DPLII mode in the settings menu and I'm running optical but my receiver is only picking it up in [PCM 48Kz]. I know the receiver supports DPLII as well as just about any other format and the optical is functioning, but it just won't go into surround mode. Any tips?

My little brother put down a $5 deposit at Toys R Us 8 months ago for this game. June 2004! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

In the last minute I called to check up on it and got put on hold after they told me they had it in stock, on Wednesday. I heard it wouldn't be out until Thursday as well.

I got the game for $39.99 total instead of the $49.99 everyone else paid! The checkout guy sarcastically said "Wow you kept this in amazing shape!" speaking of my 8 month old deposit slip my lil bro purchased.

I decided against importing the GT3 save I shared with said brother and am starting from scratch. Being broke and digging in the used bins for a good steal took me a while. Soundtrack changing and looking at the car dealerships also took some more time.

A Jay Leno car? Ford Model T?!
A lot of old cars are in the game, as in 1960's little coupes.

It does look like more of the same though. Drag racing is included this time around. I don't see any other exclusives open up right off the bat, but there's surely some good stuff to be found later on.

Man, I might be short on sleep for weeks to come now!
This is a monster of a game to explore and complete.

Well, I'm having great fun with the game. I'm now driving in a 1970 Chevy Chevelle. And I got some weird 1880's car. It has 1 HP... http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

You get to transfer you A and B licences and up to 100,000 credits. It's a nice little jump start =D
