It says ship them a memory card; so I'm guessing to return the memory card to the winner?

At least the seller is not over-charging on shipment. $5 is about the amount it would take to mail a memory card back to you. Usually the sellers in this type of auction would charge $20 - $25. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

*laughs* What would be the point in that? Are people too lazy to get the items on their own? *lauhgs*

Most people charge insane shipping and lower the price of the actual item. It saves the seller and buyer money. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Someone needs to shop eBay more. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Interesting how all the obviously hacked stuff is listed as a rare and hard to find item in-game.

"SUPER RARE PSO XBOX ep 1&2 ELENOR MAG"

I wonder why it's "rare"...

And it's not necessarily lame to sell PSO rares on eBay, though it's rather lame to buy them. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I'd buy it. That thing looks sweet...

For that money I'll just buy a AR and get all the items myself.

Now that's a crazy thought. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Yes ToH, that is a standard Ebay tactic. You lower the price on your item so your final Ebay costs will also be lower. You make up the difference by charging on outrageous shipping. I've seen this kind of ploy going on since the late 90s. It is also against EBay rules and will get you banned.

It was simply my observation that the shipping wasn't too bad here, even in spite of it being unethical, stupid, and probably against the End User Licensing Agreement to sell in-game items. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Here, I was laughing at the bid until I saw one of the items on the list...

Orotiagito 1975

I just started crying afterwards... http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Dont worry, judging by the other stuff in the auction, the Orotiagito's prolly a hack as well.

I noticed that long list of things when I was looking for my own copy of PSO Ep1&2 the other day...

Didnt think there would be that much to say on it...=)

do you know that by posting this seemingly harmless link to ebay about some cheater trying to make a buck on hacked & duped items, you are in turn promoting this cheater's item?

while most will get a laugh or two out of this, but it's also helping with the advertisement..

this has been around since duping was 'found' - this is nothing new!
please don't bring this kind of post up again

The mag is worthless, I mean it has no Photon Blast
and it's also an instant ban if you go online with it. Anyone with an AR and fileswap codes can make one.

you can easily make one that does have PB's so thats not really even an issue. The fact that it is banned (as you already mentioned) is really the only drawback to the having the mag. Personally I think its an ok looking mag, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a char lol http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

The Elenor mag is 100% lame and boring.

Hasn't anyone ever been to the PC servers?
It's like the replacement of your standard Mag.

Sure, it'll be all fun and cool for an hour when someone manages to take it online with the cube.

Then you'll see the pink eyesore popping up everywhere.

http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Now if it was a legitly attainable, it would at least be something to brag about.

But no, ST says "God we have milked this game, might as well not release the items which have been around for more than 3 years. Maybe we'll release it when there are 20 people on the Japan and US servers total."

Overcharging for shipping is what eBay deserves. You can safely assume that ebay and paypal are going to take 10% of whatever the final selling price is. Sellers are right to make their money using the shipping method.
Basically If I have an item that sells for $20, eBay probably made $2 off me. I overcharge the customer $2 on shipping (which they won't notice) and its all good. eBay taking 10% is a huge amount.

Ebay may deserve it, but it is against the rules. There are plenty of other bidding sites you can use to sell your wares.

That's not a whole truth; yes anyone w/ AR or fileswap can make it, but you will not get banned for having one. I have seen many people with this mag equipped online and nothing happened to them...

...at least not on Xbox.
